My first American Thanksgiving!!! I know, I know, it's still September, but I'm really excited!! This will be the first year my family does Thanksgiving right! We are flying to Tennessee for the big day. Of course Kaji is going too!! For all you TN natives, I have a question... What's the weather going to be like?? I have Kaji in a short cut, and I'm probably going to trim him again since it's still pretty warm here. Are sweaters a good idea to buy before the trip???? |
Oh girl, I don't blame you for being excited! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE thanksgiving dinner! I look forward to it every year! Turkey, mashed potatoes, squash, green beans, bread stuffing, pork stuffing, gravey, home made bread rolls, pork pies, pumpkin pies, pecan pies, chocolate cream pies.... pumpkin bread, cranberry bread or muffins.... oh my gosh my mouth is watering already! Enjoy your dinner!!!!! As you can imagine, I will be enjoying mine! LOL |

Hey a Ky girl here but never heard of a pork pie is it a dessert? |
Traditional Thanksgiving food is the best of all holidays. Just wish it wouldn't always fall on me to prepare it. Periodically we just disappear for Thanksgiving to give us a break. Would you believe that the rest of dh's family doesn't even get together when we skip? So sad! Wish I could help you with the weather in TN. I just know about the weather in MS. Many times we have shirt-sleeve weather at Christmas when we go down there. Love it.:D ~Joanne~ |

The food sounds great! I don't know if the food my friends will be serving will have all the bells and whistles. I just wish I knew whether or not to buy Kaji a nice sweater or his nekkedniss will be ok. :p |
I say buy him a sweater, especially if he goes out to potty. I don't live IN Tennessee but I live in Kentucky so it's not too far at all. I usually keep Lilly in clothes in the fall and winter because it can get pretty darn chilly! Have fun girl! |
If you go to weather.com you can look at averages for the area you are in. I put Nashville TN in and the average for Nov is between 40 - 59 degrees. I know my boys would not need a sweater with those temps, but they are used to New England where winter days can be 0 and even in the negatives. |
I love Thanksgiving. You will need a sweater and maybe a coat. It gets nippy. We love to Fry Cajun Turkeys on Thanksgiving day. |
YOu will need a sweater & maybe a tshirt for him to wear inside. I he a bony-maroni? That will make a difference. Our little Clarence is 6.5# & he wears a sweatshirt or sweater in the house all winter, Keegan is 14.6# & it has to be pretty chilly (about 50degrees) before he wants a sweatshirt on. Don't forget jammies for nighttime. HAPPY FIRST THANKGIVING!!! |
