I LOVED Patrick Swayze. I was flipping channels much earlier tonight, and I had settled on an E! Investigation of stalkers for about 10 seconds when they did an E! Breaking News segment that Patrick Swayze had died. I was speechless for a good 15 seconds. I'm so glad that his family was at his side when he passed away. RIP Patrick. Thank you for giving so much of yourself to the entertainment industry and sharing your incredible talent with us. and thank you for inspiring everyone with your courageous battle. |
I loved him, too. Dirty Dancing is one of my favorite movies. I can't even count how many times I've watched it. R.I.P Patrick. You fought a hard battle. |
i have never cried over a star's death before, but i just watched Dirty Dancing this past weekend for pure pleasure and enjoyment and when i heard he died tonight i just lost it, i've never cried that hard over someone i didn't really know, but i bawled in my kitchen and cried again watching his film clips and him with Chris Farley. i truly hope he's in heaven dancing away with that perfect body and physique he had when he was young. Rest in peace dear Patrick and know we all miss you and love you and hope you are waiting in heaven for us down here. |
I was on the computer and it showed up on Yahoo. I was weepy for a long time. I loved him in Dirty Dancing and Ghost... Makes me cry every time. When he says,"Molly, it's amazing all the love you feel you take it with you"...Patrick, You were loved by your Wife,Family and Fans and I pray that you know how much you were loved now that you've left us. You fought a valant fight and now can rejoice in your victory.... My heart broke when I heard that he had passed away. I was watching The View this morning and Whoopi talked about her friend Patrick and her words made me cry. You could tell from the way she spoke of him that he was a very dear friend to her. Then they showed a clip from the Barbara Walter interview and that was pretty much it for me :( |
He really was a good person. Never a breath of scandel attached to him. All of his movies were decently handled - no needless nudity or sex. I loved Roadhouse best but Dirty Dancing and Ghost are also favorites! Does anyone remember him in Red Dawn (I think that was the title.) He was just a kid! |
OMG I got chills. I was just thinking of him coming into work this am when I heard a question from a DJ asking what Baby's real name was in the movie! I immediately thought of Patrick and wondered how he was doing. I haven't seen anything on him lately. May he R.I.P. He was such a sweet human being and so very talented. He and his wife had a nice marriage. I feel so bad for her. |
