Has anyone tried "Alli?" What do you think about it? |
Trying to think of a delicate way to phrase this...alli causes really loose stools. Loose enough you need to wear a pad. You can't control it. Warning...don't wear white pants. |
That is what I heard about it. It "forces" you to be good on your diet, or pay the price with accidents. :eek: |

I've used it. I haven't had any problems with it. You need to keep your fat gram to a certain level for each meal. If you, you are fine. If you go way over, It will cause the bowel problems. It teaches you how to eat correctly. The effects can take 24-48 hours. If you are going to have a big fat meal...you can either not take the pill and be ok, or take it and you may have problems afterwards. The choice is yours.;) |
Yes, if you intake too much fat, you diffently have loose stools! I have not found anything over the counter pill that actually works for me! I am now on Jenny Craig and I have lost 7 lbs in 2 weeks. So far I am pleased with Jenny Craig! |
your heart...I am not that disciplined (ok so I can't spell!)....I went with lapband (hubbys ins paid) I am down 60# and feel GREAT! |
My endocrinologist suggested it to me ~ she is a moron! I have had my gall bladder removed... last thing I need is something like Alli.. but I have heard good reviews. |
I was thinking of trying it, but since I don't have a gall bladder either, I was thinking it could really cause an issue. I have enough problems with accidents snice I had it removed. |

My sister tried this, after two accidents it went in the trash...... She told me she was at work and someone pointed out to her that she had a "stain" on the back of her white pants and she had no clue it happened!....I couldn't help it, but I laughed my azz off!....:p |

I tried it before. It works, you basically flush all the fat down the toilet. But beware, you will need to clean your toilet often if you still are eating too much fat, and ppl coming over to your house will know your secret. LOL Also at close to $70 a bottle, it doesn't make sense to me anymore. I stopped taking it about 1 1/2 years ago. I've put back on about 10-15 pounds. |
Been there, didn't loose any weigth didn't have any accidents, I did see the fat in the toilett but that's it |

I took it for awhile when it first came out and I lost 20lbs but a lot of that was just hard work and effort on my part I think... I don't know if it was the alli that helped or not. I also tried it again but just couldnt get as dedicated. I had no problems with it at all but I didnt over eat either. My mom was asking if i still took it because she seen on the news that it was bad for you... i think it can damage maybe the liver? not real sure but I stopped taking it after that.:thumbdown |
