Pretty sure I have swine flu So my head hurts, I didn't sleep well because I couldn't breathe. I'm dizzy, tired, my stomach hurts. My legs feel like they are gonna fall off and my cough makes my head hurt even worse. Oh and my head hurts. I'm pretty sure we are gonna go to the ER later but maybe not if I get better. Should I keep my distance from Snickers? Anything you guys would recommend if you have had it? I was really dehydrated and drank about a gallon of orange juice and a gallon of water. Thanks for listening to me complain. |
I don't think dogs can get sick from humans, but I wouldn't take the chance. Hope your feeling better real soon. |
Oh my kids are just getting over it. I am soooo sorry you have it. I am not sure if animals can catch sickness from humans or not. I have never heard of it. |
I'm sorry :( GO to the doctor/ER because they will swab you and determine that you have, and if you have it they can give you anti-virals so you will have it for 2 days not 2 weeks. I hope you feel better! We can pass bacteria but not a virus like this to the dogs. They can keep you company in bed, it's OK. Just don't let them kiss you so they don't spread it to others. |
Sounds like it. I just got over a bad headache, stomach upset, chills aches and extreme tiredness but I didn't have a sore throat or really any cold like symptoms so I just laid low. I think I just had a virus. I know if you think you have swine flu they want to track it so you should go in. Hope you feel better soon. |
I just got over a bad bug headache, stomach upset, chills, fever,body aches and extreme tiredness, sore throat and it hurt when I coughed. mine lasted 3 weeks not sure what it was guessing the flu. I was so sick and weak I couldnt do any thing. I know... I should of went to the Er. my 11 year old neice who lives in Fl has the swine flu I hope you start feeling better soon. |
Update: Not feeling any better, worse. The doctor came here and said it probably wasn't swine flu. I haven't been able to talk for almost 48 hours |

My youngest son's GF had the same symptoms, and testes positive to SF, we thought it was just a cold, my son spent all this time with her.I pray we don't get it.Hope you feel better soon |

I had it a few months back and I do not ever remember being as sick as then. Seriously. I lost three days with 105 fever. I was in bed almost two weeks with one week of pure sleeping. I spent a night in the hospital on IV. They do the swab test but just so you know if they do it too early it gives a false negative. Kind of like the strep test. I could not hold even water down. I am not sure if humans can pass illnesses to dogs, but I wouldn't take a chance if possible. I really hope you start to feeling better... |
He says it's probably just bronchitus or an upper respiratory infection or both? I am feeling alot better today. My throat feels like knives scrape against it when I swallow though. I still can't really talk, I can whisper though! |
I got bronchitis one time from my schnauzer (back 15 years ago). Not sure if you can give it to them, but I would think so. ??? |
