Buddy and I are on vacation here at my sister's for the week.
I was watching TV until my BIL put on the football game he
was waiting for to come on. I love football and he's a Philly
Eagle fan. Guess who's now on that team? VICK!
We'll here I am in the den with no place to go! No way am I
going to sit in front of the TV for 2hrs and watch that animal
on TV. I am so ticked off because I can't get away from
it. There is no place to go! I'm trapped:(
They are all laughing at me because I won't gon in the LR.
I can't even tell you how upset I am. I wish I were home
in my own house watching House Hunter's.

I'm with you -- that made me mad when he walked out of prison and right back on a team! Wish the NFL had more scruples! I won't watch him either. I am also wiht you on House Hunters! I have just started watching the DIY and HGTV channels for home improvement ideas. I need to redo a very, very outdated master bath. I started watching a few for ideas and got hooked! Still don't know for sure what to do with my bathroom though. ;)

We watch/DVR channels like DIY, HGTV and Planet Green more than most others. We/I have gotten many a good inside yard and cooking tip/idea from those shows.

I love it!!! Yes it is definitely not fair and it makes me really mad. My DH says he did his time and he made a mistake. Bull crap!!!! That is not a mistake and he did not do NEAR enough time!!!!

Good for you for refusing to watch. I usually look forward to the start of football season, but after the NFL's horrible decision to allow him back, I have no use for it this year. I feel for you having to sit there and miss House Hunters. I have been hooked on that show, Sell This House, Sweat Equity, you name it. Now if only my house looked like I watched them all the time!!:p

I never plan on watching that animal again, he is [censored for violence] :mad: he is the worst person on the face of mars, wait he's not even a person, he's an alien, because he would dare to hurt one of gods creatures. He should stay in jail for the rest of his ..... LIFE!!! he doesn't deserve a second chance, he should've gotten the death penalty for killing and abusing all those innocent dogs! I want to protest against his "out of jailingness"!!!

Another show I like is Color Splash, but it is mostly because of David Bromstad -- what a cutie and I love his tribal tattoo! But I only watch for the decorating tips ;)

Look at it this way. He has received a life sentence. He is going to have PETA following him around for life. Would you want them camped on your doorstep 24/7? Some of them tend to be a little extreme. I think it's perfect.

You should get your pooch one of these. This will give you a good laugh too!

Carol, you are a much, much nicer person than I. I would have been home watching House Hunter's!! :D BIL would have had to go and watch that game with his buddies ... you were a guest. I wouldn't have gone home mad, I would've simply gone home, especially if they laughed at me! :( Love the picture ... V & Debra are right, just a few more inches and he could have had a mouthful of Vick's butt!!!!

BTW, have you watched "If Walls Could Talk"? Trish and I loved that show ... it is so interesting. Patrick and I are "junkies" where all those shows are concerned. Some of the ideas we have picked up are amazing!

I keep hearing that "he did his time" and that he shouldn't be deprived of "earning a living". Well, I'm sure he can find work with Defembaugh (sp? - local trash co.).

Playing in the NFL for $1.3 mil is a privilege that should not have been granted to him. Shame on the NFL; shame on the Eagles and shame on Vick!

This is great!! I met someone in the store the other day, they said they were so glad
he got to go back to football. It made me sick, I let them have it.

i too was very upset that he immediately got another football contract after getting out of jail. they could have waited a little longer...

i too hated the man (and his friends) for what he did to those poor dogs.

However after reading and watching stories about him I do have to say that while i'm not happy he's playing football again i think he needs to do so (because he needs to still pay for the care of the surviving dogs that were taken from him). An example was made out of him (as it should have been). Not many people go to jail for dog fighting even after they are convicted. And no one thought he was gonna go either because he was famous. But he did go and went for a while (instead of just a slap on the wrists and a month or two of jail time). He was also heavily fined and went bankrupt for what he did. He's had to pay millions of dollars for what he did and is still paying for what he did. For that, i am happy. He is also working with the humane society of the US and has "pledged to make a long-term commitment to participate in our community-based outreach programs to steer inner-city youth away from dogfighting" (according to the pres of the HSUS).

i know money cannot replace the dogs that have died, or make up for the suffering that was caused. but i'm glad he has to pay so much.
