Pup for hubby"s B-day....
 
So I've decided I'm getting pup for my husband his birthday is in April.

It's either going to be a Golden or a Vizsla :D

I can't ask him because it's a surprise. Would like guys or gals to answer.

Do guys prefer male or female dogs?

I personally would choose a golden. I just don't have enough room for one to run and get out all of that energy!! Good luck in your search, and I am sure he will love it! Oh and I don't know that men really care male or female, at least mine dosen't.

I was raised with a vizsla (her name was Zella & I loved her) & if you are not dedicated to exercising her...please don't get one. They need LOTS of exercise!!!!

I know a guy who wants a Vizsla (likely won't happen) and the only concern over male/female is that it get along with the dog they already have.

Why don't you make it into a scavenger hunt that ends up at the breeder's house so he can choose his own pup? I vote Golden. We have one and she is the sweetest dog ever. I don't know much about the Visla breed, but do know they are very active and need to work. Goldies do to, but are such happy dogs!

Golden! ALL the way! Grew up with a Golden named Daisy and she was the best dog ever. We still have very fond memories of her. Would love to own one again someday. I prefer males, I think they're more lovey, less independent and more loyal but male Goldens get alot bigger than females Goldens sometimes.

I mis-read, I thought you asked what we prefer.

All the guys I know have female dogs!

Thanks everyone

As of right now I think it's going to be a Vizsla :D They are so beautiful - I'm thinking female and her name will be Sienna

We are a pretty active family. We all go jogging and hiking regularly

He or she would be walked everyday.

We go to the park at least 3 times a week.

We have 4 bedroom house with big backyard and pool for it to swim in.

We have great dog parks and dog beaches.

If we can't go walking due to weather we plan on using treadmill for exercise.


What do you guys think?
