Anyone up this late? I'm stuck at work for a stupid last-minute project. Just wondering if anyone else is out there to talk to and keep me awake :) Thinking about work for the 13th hour straight is really messing up my mind. I need breaks! |

I just tried to get to go home, saying I can finish the rest in the morning, but my boss wants to look over the project before I leave tonight. It's already midnight and I've been working since 8 am, and I have to be at work at 8 tomorrow morning too! |

Because he always is... Not even two weeks ago I was here working on the same project for a last-minute deadline with two other people until 6:30 AM!!! This time it's just me working alone. I didn't sleep at all last night, so I am so tired I feel nauseous :( |

Poor Layla, I bet she's really missing you. That reminds me, my job is new and I just finished filling out all the tax forms. I'm not married and have no skin kids, but I do have a cute furry thing that is solely dependant on me, so I was tempted to put him as my dependant on the tax form! You think I'd get in trouble for that???? He is my baby after all. :D |
haha! It only makes sense! Layla is a child to me, and I have cancelled plans because of her. When I first started working here they wanted to send me away for a course (which is also offered right here, but they were lazy and just wanted everyone in the company to take the same one, so there's only one sign-up time). I said I had nobody to look after my dog, and I waited until the next course was in my city and I went alone :) What do you do for work? I think I will be looking for a new job soon! |
I work for an after school program with middle school children. Kaji is not liking the new routine. |
That sounds like an awesome job! Poor Kaji! I'm sure he'll get used to the routine sooner or later! |

It's actually not so fun. I've been working with elementary aged kids for a while and that was fun/easy in my mind. So now with the middle schoolers, I was expecting a bit more lip and attitude from them, but I didn't expect them to be such downers. It's only the third day, maybe things will turn around once I get to know them and they get to know me. |
Oh shoot, I answered to late. Glad you're going home, give Layla extra cuddles for being so patient!!! |

The project manager, another new engineer who is helping out, and my boss are all still here. All still pushing for me to get stuff done :rolleyes: |

I'm glad things worked out for you! I left work at 3:30 am when my part of the report was done... and boy was my boss kissing butt! Couldn't stop talking about how I did a wonderful job and it was a beautiful report... although I think he knew I would snap if he said anything different. I fell asleep at 4am and slept until noon, and then came back in to work for the afternoon. Luckily, no staying late tonight! In 2 days, I worked a total of 32.5 hours :eek: I am so looking forward to spending my evening with Layla tonight! |
