Anyone here like Bob Saget? :D No, NOT dorky, clean-cut Danny Tanner from "Full House", but the real Bob Saget? lol. He's hilarious in his stand-up act, but you've gotta appreciate raunchy filth. :p

Anyways, long story short, I met him last week in Atlantic City after his show at the Borgata, my uncle is really good friends with him, and he THE nicest guy ever! :cool: No lie. I semi expected him to be all immature and telling poop jokes after the show or something, but he was the kindest, most genuine person ever. Really really nice dude. I was really appreciative of him taking the time out to talk to me and he may even be doing something for my little brother's foundation we started in the future (CONNOR CARES FOUNDATION; In Honor of Connor)

Such a random thread but I thought I'd post for anyone who cared :p

I'd venture to say his HBO special is much cleaner and funnier than he is live without being recorded. I saw him last year at a comedy fest and not only was he completely fillfthy, but he wasn't funny at all - just totally disgusting. His entire skit was about animals and how you can use them for sexual pleasure.....

I'm glad he was nice in person.

Lol, I'm sorry you didn't like his humor. I've always liked his comedy act, he brought up a few animal things at my show but it wasn't the entire skit. He moreso makes fun of himself on Full House. He's a very, very geuine nice person and he doesn't mean anything he says or actually does the things he jokes about... haha. I find him hilarious because he's so quick to come up with something. I love the way he will say something totally disgusting and then apologize for 30 seconds afterwards. His comedy is very ADHD, all over the place, and ya either love it or hate it. Also, I wouldn't call his HBO special clean at all lol, but I found it hilarious. I've also loved his guest apperances in movies and shows such as Dumb and Dumberer, Half Baked, cameos on Entourage are always great.

He's got three daughters in real life and ALL he talked about was his kids, I was pretty surprised. He's very close to them and in real life, he seems like they're his #1 concern. His mother also has lost four children, he's their only surviving kid apparantly, and his dad died recently, and he had lost four brothers in their 40's, he began to learn that comedy was the only way to get through all that crap, so I think that's where his disgusting stuff comes from because he just really doesn't care... lol.

I prefer him as Danny Tanner. Morals and class seem to suit him much better.

I love him as both. I grew up on Full House so I really love the dorky Danny too.
He's got morals and class in REAL life - I guess that's what is important. I can't stress enough what a great guy he is.

I grew up watching Full House too, and now that I'm older, I love comedy with, uh how should I say, b@lls? LOL :p

I also love love love Dave Chappelle, and I loved Half Baked. Did you ever watch Robin Hood Men in Tights? Dave's in that movie too. Hee hee, HBO specials are awesome.

Yes, comedy w/ balls is the best!! LOL. And yes, Dave Chappelle is awesome! I do get Comedy Central, I'll have to check out this secret stash thing you speak of :D Some of my other faves are Lewis Black, Dane Cook, Lisa Lampenelli, among others but those are who I mainly listen to along with good ole' Bob.

Half Baked is such a stoner movie and I LOVE it. Bob's line is classic but I can't even post it on here. I'm far from a stoner lol but I love stoner flicks for some reason. Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, anyone?

Ok secret stash I think is on friday nite (morning) at 1am on comedy central and it is a different comedian each week, basically an HBO special without the censors. yay!

Not feeling Dane Cook, but Lisa YES!, Lewis YES! Jon Stewart (who was in Half Baked...) love the Chappelle show...

I just think he tries WAY too hard to be the polar opposite of Danny Tanner. It's like he's trying to shake that goody-two-shoes image by being completely filthy. It seems fake and I can't get passed that. However, I like comedy with b@lls too... I am a big Kathy Griffin fan and I know she is very controversial.

Lol yeah I can see this, sometimes he probably goes a little TOO far, but actually even while filming Full House, he did stand up as dirty as he is today, he always had shows at the Laugh Factory when finished filming Full House for the day, so he's ALWAYS been like that, it was just he did that show which become so popular so that's how everyone views him now lol. But he did dirty stand up in the early 80's before the show even started

After I found out he was a PORN star I always looked at him differently , GROSS....I never cared for his sense of humor either... it grossed me out that he was a porn start then playing daddy to those little girls:eek:

Yeah from what I understand he was already doing stand up his "style" before he got hired for Full House. What sucks is how would you feel if you were known for just one character, like Ed O Neil (Al Bundy)? You just wanna get away from that and show another side.

Lol, some of you guys in here are treating him like he's this horrible person for being that way and playing "daddy" to those little girls. Well, ALL of the young girls from that show are still very close to him and he treats them as his own kids lol. They all keep in touch. He's got three daughters of his own in real life who he is very close to, just because he tells dirty humor doesn't mean he's a terrible person or something.

I grew up with my grandpa telling dirty and crude jokes as a child, but he's the most amazing man ever, he's a dirty ole bastard but he'd do anything for you and he's got the biggest heart in the world! Him being a dirty stand-up is no different than him being squeaky clean Danny Tanner, most of it is an act! LOL, that's ok. Capt Noonie is Uni's nickname, but I use it as a screen name for most everything. My real name is Priscilla. :p (and before anyone says oh what a pretty name, I've hated it all my life. LOL)

i LOVE Bob Saget as the voice of the father on How I Met your Mother and i'm actually shocked that no one else has mentioned that show on here yet...he's amazing tell the kids his stories and leading us into the Ted world on the show....

and i loved him as Danny Tanner...i've never seen his comedy and youtube works not at work so i'll have to wait until i get home to watch some...

I am not saying he is a terrible person, but I don't like that kind of humor coming from anyone. It was quite shocking hearing him speak that way the first time I heard it, as I had a totally different impression of him from Full House as well as AFV. I just thought he was a more wholesome person. My husband and I both have a healthy sense of humor, but I do not find disgusting things funny.

He told me after the Borgata show that he's got a new show in the works... hopefully it lasts :p He has a tendency to have canceled shows, lol. His recent Surviving Suburbia was canceled. But the new show is basically an A&E documentary on different cultures of the world, so the first episode will be on mail ordered brides from Russia, and he's the host of this show, lol. I hope it works out for him. He needs to stay away from TV shows/sitcoms and get back into hosting. His game show 1 vs. 100 did pretty good, I think?

Lol, no I completely understand, I mean, his stand up is 100% different than FH and AFV. I'm just sayin', he's actually an extremely wholesome person in REAL life, which kinda of came as a shock to me actually. My uncle's pretty good friends with him and when you're just chilling like normal people, he doesn't really even cuss, or talk disgusting or anything, it's all an act which is just so crazy to me how he can flip that switch on/off! lol. Probably nicest guy I ever met, honest to the God truth. Sooo super down to earth and humble.

I don't think it's bad at all!! I hate my name too though. Growing up, EVERY one was named Brittany, so annoying. Always had a few Brittany's in every class. My middle name is Jade which I like soo much more.

I know nothing about Bob Saget but I loooove Lisa Lampenelli. I saw her live in May and she was so hilarious.

Wow where did you see her? I missed her TWICE already! Just wasn't destined to be. I've seen her HBO specials and stuff, she is soooooo funny! That is a lady with b@lls LOL. She's a real lady.

I saw her in Philly. We were a few rows back from the stage so I was SO AFRAID she was going to pick on us but she didn't. :p

LOL I loveeee Lisa Lampenellil!! I've never seen her live sadly but my uncle did and she made fun of him, LOL. She cracks me up. She makes fun of EVERY race which is the great thing, lol. The other day I saw a clip of her on Jay Leno and she said "I've banged so many blacks, my neighbors were starting to think I was a stop on the Underground railroad!!" That killed me lol.
