i havent heard from my brother in a while.... he works with fima last i heard he was in houston, but he had been reasigned since then and they were talking about sending him to new orleans.... now that rita is on her way i doubt they sent him that far, so he is probably on the coast somewhere between galveston and new orleans (i know im so specific right???) but that is all the info i have.... I know fima doesnt typically put their people in harms way, but my brother is the kind of person that will save 'everyone he can even if it means sacrificing himself' (he was a lifeguard for a long time, so he has a 'saving people thing' ) anyways, he is also really STUPID, yes you heard me.... S T U P I D. (the last hurrican that he went out on he was SURFING in the streets of puerto rico... the storm surge sent in water and flooding and he was SURFING the 'waves' and being pulled along by the wind......... i hope he is ok and found shelter :(

I hope he is ok too sweetie! sounds like he is one great guy and you love your brother! I would be very worried too! Just pray that he is ok and has found shelter. Hopefully he will try to get in touch with you soon so you no longer have to worry. I will be thinking of you--please let us know if you hear anything.

oh I hope he is ok too!! keep us posted! my brother can be stupid sometimes too...it's ok if sisters call their brothers stupid...but ONLY when it applies :D i just said a prayer for you and hopefully he will call! does he do that??? does he keep in touch with you in a situation like this??

I hope he is ok ....maybe he is just so busy helping out that he has not had a chance to get in contact with you...He will be in my thoughts and prayers!

I'm sure he's ok. I know you're gonna worry until you hear from him, but I'm certain he's soooo busy that he's probably meeting himself coming and going. :) I think a bunch of them are up in San Antonio, so maybe he's up there until the worst of this goes through.

well, i called my mom and she said that right before the hurricane hit he was still trying to get out of new orleans.... he got cut off coz his battery died (phone battery that is) but he was driving in over 5 inches of water!!!! :eek:

nope havent heard......... with all the power outages and now his phone is dead, i think it will probably be awhile, unless he finds some other alternative... my mom is the designated "news lady" so he will call her first and foremost before any of us other ' siblings', which is kind of the way i prefer it, that way he isnt wasting the battery on his phone and we can still hear what is going on
but no, we havent heard since then... we dont know if he actually made it out or if he had to take shelter somewhere
