Any other shopaholics present?
 
I'm a purse addict myself! It started with Coach and Dooney's but has progressed into full-blown Louis Vuitton addiction :blush::blush:.... And then there is the perfume problem I also tend to have... Really, I just like to shop. Its the perfect pick-me-up when life isn't going too well.

Just wondering if any of you ladies share my shopping problem? How do we overcome this retail therapy? Or do we want to if its even possible? haha

And I'm only 19! Oh man. I can't go out and not shop..it got so bad :/ I'd buy something which fit me tight and would say to myself"ooooh its sooo cute , it'll fit me better in a month or two" pfft, as if. I have a lot of perfumes also and my last purchase was the miss dior cherie perfume which is not cheap, but smells sooooo gooood and my bf still doesn't know I have it =x LMAO. Oh well.. I've started calming down with shopping for me since I got louis...now all I buy is for him :D

Guilty as charged. I love to shop, especially for my home. I am always changing something or adding something. I find it very satisfying and
stress relieving shopping. I'm getting scared because when I retire next
June, with so much time on my hands, I'm afraid I'll be in the stores most
of the time. Home Goods here I come. I"m thinking of working there part-time when I retire. I wonder what kind of discount they give employee's:p
I'd rather shop for my home than for me I think.

I love to shop! I like to shop the most for things for the house and yard and for my pond. I have found so many things on the internet that I intend to buy

......As I sit here with two new pairs of Lindsay Phillips' Switch Flops, which I had delivered here at work today "stuffed" into my gym bag so my DH won't see me sneak them in to the house tonight when I get home...."but I just had to have them for my family get-together this weekend!!"

.........yeah....I"ve got a wee-bit of a shopping habit.....:rolleyes:

P.S. Carol....I could never ever work at Home Goods...I would spend my entire Pay Check there!!! It's a great store!!!

Its a girl/woman thing, you see something you like and you HAVE TO get it..no matter how much it is...ahhh I remember one time I used my dads credit card for coach shoes :) I think he was half sleep when he said I could take his card ..OH WELL..I asked :D.


P.s: I leave the home shopping to my mommaaaa , she lovessss to change stuff o.O.

"Confessions of a Shopaholic" made me feel so much better about my habit! At least I pay for everything in cash or debit :)

I like to shop for my house too, but I usually look for eclectic, vintage pieces I can sorta customize. I've never heard of this "Home Goods" store? Sounds like a good place to go!

Dang you ladies need to come by my shop then, it's been dead lately! Personally, I like to go to thrift shops. the thrill of the hunt, and the bargain! Esp since I am small, it's hard to find things in my size. And when I do, it's unique and no one else has it! I just found a vintage little boys cashmere/wool double breasted blazer for $5.99!!! :D

My shop is 90% new, 10% vintage, but 100% struggling!!! LOL it's just a sign of the times. We were doing sooo good back in 2007 and before. We are a small shop just handbag, some clothes, and for the season costumes!

My Dh and I BOTH love to blow away money. He loves gadgets and I love stuff for my dogs and perfume and makeup. He grew up poor, and I grew up middle class so it's not like we were spoiled out of our minds as kids. We both said that when we grew up and made our own money we were not going to limit ourselves ( within reason of course) I think the biggest waste of our money though is on food. We go out ALL the time. And we love to grill out and that is a BIG chunk of money when its steaks all the time. We both are blessed to have good paying jobs so its nice. I am going to take advantage of it while it lasts and we don't have any kids.

Hi Danielle! My hubby and I are the same way! We both grew up with very little outside of necessities, and so I guess we try to make up for it now! Personally, I'm thankful I've had to work hard for everything I've ever had. I hope to pass both of our family's history of strong work ethics onto our children someday...but I would like to be able to spoil them a tiny bit! We try so hard to put a lot in the bank...but we realize life is too precious to hoard every penny! He's deploying soon, and thats totally put things even more into perspective for us.

Hey my hubby is deploying soon too!! We seem to have a little in common , with the exception that I only have ONE coach purse and matching wallet that I just recently got hahaha My hubby and I are both Air Force so we make pretty decent money. I honestly would give some money back though for us not to have to be apart so much. He is TDY right now for 5 weeks :(

That's gotta be hard on you two with you both being in the Air Force! I'm sure it makes you treasure your time together even more though. Non-military couples just can't understand I don't think! I'm personally about to step down from a management position, thus foregoing my decent pay, in order to spend more time with my hubby before he leaves. Most people act like I'm crazy, but I know my heart never leads me astray! My shoulder is here if you need someone to lean on :hug: !

when i shop,i have to buy 3 or four of the same items in different colors, if its
something you wear... people used to always tell me that i could live on the food in my house for a year and never have to shop.... well thats not true,
but i will tell you that at one timewhen i was married years ago, i had like
20 bottles of bleach in my basement.. im a sicko... when things are on sale, i buy bulk..

Well since I don't work I consider myself a professional shopper. :p I also have a handbag addiction as well as a severe designer jean problem. But I really love shopping for my little Fancie Pants and Ryle.

OMG me too! I refuse to get a Costco membership because the bulk/savings factor... I know I'd buy way more food then we could eat because of how "cheap" it is! hahaha

and I have a serious addiction to QVC. I love their jewelry, makeup, and clothes. I am a teacher and all I have done all summer is shop!! I've had to start shipping things to my mother's house because my DH isn't happy about all the QVC boxes coming into the house. She thinks I have a problem too, so I guess my next step is a PO Box..... :p

l love shopping, for myself shoes, purses, suits you name it l buy it. My daughter is into louis v. and Gucci purses. I just stick with dooney and coach
bags. I love tiffany jewelry too. I of course shop for Rockie all the time.:thumbup:

Shopping is therapy for me. I think spending money is therapy for me! I even like to food shop! LOL I think it's because I love food and I love buying! haha
I'm addicted to shoes, I have about 80 pairs... luckily I am addicted to finding hot, good shoes for super cheap... it's a cheap thrill for me. LOL I get $100 for $15 at Macys alot! I love buying coats and own about 50.... but I hate wearing coats! LOL Im the one in a snowstorm with a fleece jacket one because it does not bind me to myself while driving! LOL

Happy shopping girlfriend! I'm off to food shop tonight myself! woohoo
