Bird owners... Where do you get your bird toys? I have a parrotlet so I'm looking for small ones. Thanks! |
We buy all our toy's/seed and pellets, at the Parrot Perch a local Bird Shop. Also the place we take our birds when we need to board them or get them clipped and manicure. I'm thinking you are probably looking for a place online to shop? If not you may want to check your phone book to see if there are any speciality bird shops in your area. Parrotlets are adorable!!!! |
I just bought a bunch at my local bird store also..petco also has a few and if you google there are some sites that sell many toys. Now i need a play area.. |
Thanks! :) |
Is this for Fern? I remember someone had a beautiful girl named Fern. Post us some pics!!!!!!!!! |

My petsmart has alot of cool toys. |
With ten birds I buy tons of toys and supplies. I find on-line to be cheaper then the pet stores, although parrotlet toys are fairly inexpensive compared to my macaws. :D Some of my favorite places: petsolutions.com, thatpetplace.com, drsfostersmith.com, carealotpets.com |
Drs. Foster and Smith.com - THE best! :animal-pa |
Wow, 3 bird threads all on the first page! Yorkie lovers seem to be bird lovers too. My mom had an african grey and my grandmother has a cockatiel so my only experience is buying Christmas presents. It seems the little pet boutiques usually have the most unique toys. I used to have a huge bird store nearby where I used to live that was bird toy heaven. Other than that PetSmart, PetCo and PetSupermarket have a good selection but I'm sure you already know that.:D |
I've got our toys at local petstores. We have a little bell our conure loves to ring each morning lolol. I can also suggest a hanging bed. I actually made it myself, it is more of a nest/bed thing and it is funny because my conure sleeps inside every night. I just took a soft fleece type dog blanket I found at the dollar store and cut it so it was smaller and fit in the corner of my cage then I took hemp rope and tied all 4 corners together and hung it so theres two sides he could get inside of it, its warm, fluffy and he just loves it!! lol |
We have an African Grey that can go through toys quite quickly. I would pay $18 for a toy that she could destroy in 1 day so now I make a lot of her toys. I go to a craft store and buy unpainted hard wood spools, beads, sticks etc. I also buy big plastic beads and anything else I think a parrot would find interesting. I string everything together with rawhide and it is ready to hang. I save a lot of money just making her toys and she likes them just as much as store bought. |

This is a great idea I should go to our craft store and see what I can make for my bird |
