Weight Watchers anyone? I was just wondering if anyone is currently doing weight watchers? My sister was doing it and that is how I heard of it. I started it a while back when I first graduated school and then stopped it. I was able to maintain my weight loss since but decided to start up again. I really think it helps and makes you more aware of what you are eatting. PS does anyone have a starter kit they would like to sell? Or is attending meetings and can purchase one for me. I am not going to the meeting just doing it on my own because my schedule right now. Thank you :) |
I have done WW (on my own) for many years. Counting points just comes naturally to me now. I have to do it all the time or I gain weight. I think it is great and it has really helped me a lot. Sorry, I don't have any supplies, and don't attend meetings. Good luck! |
I have done it before with great results but as soon as I stop I over eat and gain right back. I was just getting ready to start up again tomorrow believe it or not. I use the WW calculator. It is great because it keeps the points for me and I always know with the push of a button what I have left or the day. I have the book "kit" somewhere around here but never found it very helpful anyways. I would love to have someone to keep up with while getting going, having someone to answer to always helps too. ;) Another great thing I do is buy a box of the colored paper clips and start a chain on my fridge, every pound lost gets one added to the chain and it is so helpful to see the chain grow and is even better when you have to take away because you weren't following the plan. Helps as a daily reminder of how you are doing. Kim :) |
Oh, I love the paper clip idea - very cleaver!!!! Good luck to you too. Losing weight is hard, keeping it off is even harder!!! It's a constant struggle for me, I know that. WW helps me to know what to do, but sometimes I just don't do it. LOL!!! |
You can find the kits on ebay. They are cheaper purchasing them there instead of the meetings. I was going to the meetings for a while and was loosing a good bit of weight....I just never stick with a plan. I hope you do well...Good luck! |
I want to start too. What's the name of the item I should be looking for on Ebay? I was 107 two years ago and now I'm 163. Little piggy. There was just too much going on in my life to really care, but now I do again, and WW sounds like a great way to get going. |
wow...how tall are you?...cause 107 is too thin even for me.......and im only 5'1 3/4".........lol.........right now im way overweight.........but im getting back to the WW points...........i dont have the calculator......but i have the points finder card slinding thingy........so i use that if i cant find it in my books......they are a little old but not too old......i think 4 years not sure....i been back on it since June 25th.........and have lost 4 pounds.........not much but a start |
 Well, if I could just GET started I could stick with it for a while! Was gonna start yesterday and then today and now... |
I was on it for like... several weeks and lost like 20 lbs then I started back my old habits of eating. I need to start again and stick with it but it's sooo hard. |
I actually work for WW now. I am coming up on my 1st year as a Lifetime member next week. I lost a total of 60 pounds with WW. I'm trying to get another 10 or so pounds off to get down to a healthy body-fat percentage. You should be able to go into any meeting and buy a starter kit without being a member. Some areas will not allow that, but I think most do. You could also attend one meeting for free and stay for the Getting Started session afterward without having to join. They will not give you the member material that you get weekly at meetings if you don't join though. |
