Adopting a Shih Tzu at a shelter I'm so excited... Honestly, I have never tried checking out shelters. There are a lot of dogs in need of homes :(. I was one of those people where I felt it was easier to shop than adopt. Since becoming a groomer, I feel I have such an open mind and open heart to all dogs in the world. Don't get me wrong, I've always loved dogs no matter how small or big. I just never thought to look for one in the shelter. Wish me luck everyone! P.S. I plan on adopting a big dog too. What do you guys think of Siberian Huskies? |
Good for you...Congratulations. I think the huskies are beautiful dogs. |
Huskies are adorable ! Good look on your adopting ! :) |
I think it is wonderful that you are adopting though a shelter. Over the years many of my pets came from a shelter and I never had any regrets. There are so many animals out there that need homes it gets overwhelming. Good luck with your new pet(s). |
That's wonderful. I volunteer at a no kill shelter and walk the small dogs. It is so rewarding to help them so I can imagine how great it must feel to give one a forever home. Good luck!! Huskies are beautiful but I have heard they are runners and you have to make sure they are securely fenced in when outside. Don't know for sure just what I heard. |
Didn't get the Shih tzu =(. I'm upset because when I called they said she was indeed available, but when I got there they told me that there's 5 people that had been on the list for her. These are reasons why I didn't bother with shelters before because it's hard to get the one you want. I will, however, continue my search. I love Huskies and I think they are gorgeous. I heard they're hyper dogs though. I just wanted to see if any of you guys own one and what your thoughts on them were. |

Huskies can be a problem to your neighbors, they don't like being left and howl till you return. |
