Member suspended... I noticed one of our members is currently suspended. What would cause someone to be suspended? |
It could be a number of things... Not sending a gift for a GE, posting things that are not allowed on this forum, riping off someone... PS I'm not sure who you are refering to so I wouldn't know in particular this are just a few reasons why someone might be suspended |
Thank you |
Maybe this? from YorkieTalk RULES & GUIDELINES 14. If you post a thread or post stating you will leave YorkieTalk, your post or thread will be deleted and your account will be permanently disabled. We do not feel it benefits anyone to have these kind of threads here on YorkieTalk. Discussion of other Yorkie forums may also lead to suspension or banning of your YorkieTalk account. here's more: If you personally attack another member, your account will be suspended for a period of SEVEN DAYS where you will NOT have access to your YorkieTalk account. You will not be able to PM anyone, post new threads or reply to threads, or go to YorkieTalk chat. If you try to cirumvent this by creating another account to post or reply to messages, we will find out and both accounts will be PERMANENTLY BANNED. Depending on the severity of your actions, a first time offense may lead to a permanent ban. We do not allow discussions of suspensions or bans of any specific member. If you attack a member again, you will be suspended for a period of TWENTY ONE DAYS. If it happens again after that, you will be PERMANENTLY BANNED FOREVER from YorkieTalk. For more serious offenses, you may be banned from YorkieTalk immediately after a first offense. If someone attacks you, report it to us, DO NOT RETALIATE, or you may be risking suspension as well. If you attack another member in a private message, you may be suspended or banned depending on your actions. YorkieTalk will not tolerate ANY PERSONAL ATTACKS. |
I must have missed that one! I can happily report that it wasn't me that got banned or suspended! :D |

Just a question out of curiosity: How do you know who is suspended? I'm fairly new here and really don't "know" anyone, but just wondered if there was a way to tell. |
You know they are suspended because it says so on top of their profile picture when you go to their profile page. I never know unless I'm posting greetings to my friends and I come across one. |
Gotcha. I guess I'd have no reason to have noticed that then. I thought maybe it was more obvious. Thanks! |
When a member is banned or suspended, it says so right under their member name next to ANY posts they've made. It's really pretty noticeable, although I have no idea who the OP is referring to in this case. |
Oh, okay. Now I'll be looking for that just out of curiosity. LOL;) |

I found a couple of examples in the "Ban the Person Above You" thread, of all places. |
A couple of other guidelines, don't say anything in a PM that could be construed as "attacking." If it's too harsh for a thread, don't post it in a PM. If your posts are deleted, don't argue with mods, or admin, treat them with respect. If you are suspended, don't argue, and take your punishment like a woman. :D Also, don't discuss why someone got suspended in a thread. |
