iPhone anyone...
 
So Jer needed (wanted :) ) anoter phone so, I went and bought the new iPhone 3G S and gave the iPhone I just bought a few months ago to Jer. They are so hard to find right now but that goodness we called a friend and they had just gotten ONE in, I said we will be right over!! Anywho... How does everyone like it? I though you were suppose to be able to send picture texts. (anyone know how?) I noticed a few things that were different about it that I like. It seems faster then my other one. I think I like it...hehe. :)

My husbands RAVES about his iphone..he loves it. The only problem is everytime i turn around to say something to him...he has his head down playing with that thing. I wish i could tell you how to picture text....but most of the time when i try to use hubby's phone..i end up handing it over to him and saying "you do it". :D

I don't have an iPhone but was considering getting one through work in the near future. How's the AT&T service on the iPhone? My friend mentioned that his calls keeps on getting dropped.

Hehe...that is me. Jer knows when I have my phone and I am quite I am on YT. Jer never wanted to touch my phone cause he couldn't work it or thought he would break it. :D

I use to have AT&T a long time ago and it always dropped calls so I switched to Sprint. I really wanted a iPhone so I got one in December, it does occasionally get dropped calls but just as many as the others. Maybe one a month or so. I waited so long to get one because of hearing about the dropped calls but I have not had a problem with it. Maybe check your area and make sure you have coverage.

while the new iphone and the upgraded software on the iphone 2.0 does support picture messaging, AT&T is being a (pardon my language) Bitch about letting us do this. I don't know why and i hate them for it. i don't see what the big deal is because every other phone/company allows this. from what i heard AT&T will allow picture messaging sometime this summer but may charge extra for it....... i'm so pissed.... you can google this situation and there is information about it out there in the news and on iphone help sites.

For some reason I don't think we'll be able to send pics til September. We can turn our keyboard sideways now....LOVE IT!!!!

I have an ipod touch 2G, & ordered the iphone 3G S on Sunday. I expect to have a long wait before it's delivered.

All the places that carry them get them in smaller shipments, I just kept checkig back. They said if I ordered it that it would take 7-10 days. :) so it may come faster then you think.

I called a local AT&T store before placing the order on-line, and was told 7 to 10 days. After I placed the order, the automated email said ships in 4 to 7 days. However, I think the demand for them for the newly released 3G was overwhelming, & it will take a while to fill current orders.

Limitations too much to list here. Data caps on tethering is foremost.


Pros: nice apps, battery life a little better,lots of memory
Cons: slow, bad reception. no multi-tasking, no turn by turn, dropped calls, i would of gave it 5:thumbup: stars if it apple was with another carrier Apple and AT&T are not working together well. If you're in the US you can't use the new picture messaging feature because AT&T is not supporting it. Also I am now going to go on to my 3rd 3g s in two days. My year old original phone is better.

I loved my first iphone now I have the new iphone 3G S....love, love it!! I could not survive without it. The new video feature is awesome!! Voice recognition is also great!! The app's are the best feature ever!!

I've heard in about a year Apple's contract with At&T will be over. I really hope they can work out a deal with Verizon, b/c they do have an iPhone model for Verizon carrier but the deal fell through with the 2 companies when they first introduced the iPhone.

I can't wait for another phone company to pick up the iphone. AT&T is horrible with its pricing and what it offers. I haven't had a problem with the service or dropped calls but it is so much more expensive then when i had my blackberry on T-mobile.

I absolutely LOVE my new iPhone 3GS. I pre-ordered it and picked it up last week. I don't think I will ever have another phone. It just does absolutely everything you could want it to. I love it. The pictures/videos are so clear & great. The internet browser is amazing, like no other. The texting is actually a lot easier than I expected. I hate EVERY touch screen phone except the iPhone. Seriously, it's awesome. I've been raving about it since I got it.

The MMS picture/video messaging won't come until later summer. That's AT&T's fault lol. But, I'm looking forward to it.

I was a Blackberry Curve user on Verizon who always said I'd never leave Blackberry.... well, here I am raving about iPhone!

I heard Apple's contract with AT&T is going to be renewed until 2016, if I read correctly.

Yahh. I stick with sprint. Between the Instinct and the Palm Pre...either one is a better phone: more cost effective.

I have tried so many phones and the iPhone is my favorite. I have had a touch screen since they first started coming out and so far so great. :) I hated the touch by HTC and it was actually recalled eventually. They told me the touc was equivalent to the iPhone... Not close at all and a waste of money. I had the Treo ( almost all he different ones) and they were nice. But this phone is by far better. I tried the BlackBerry but I didn't really like it. I thinking will stick with this kind of touch screen unless someone comes up with a better one...heheh

Really? i've been reading that Apple is furious with AT&T about all the crap they are giving their customers and their sucky service. And that they will soon be working out a deal with verizon and the other phone companies, probably in 2010.

You are right:). Ordered Sunday on-line, order processed on Monday, & shipped today, Friday.

My last name contains a darned apostrophe. I couldn't order engraving on-line with the apostrophe, so I left it out. The first two letters of my last name are capitals. As long as they engrave as I entered my name on-line, i.e., no space between the first two capital letters, it'll be acceptable. I may scratch one in though. If they put a space between the letters, or don't capitalize the second letter, I'll be annoyed. Waiting patiently to see.

Wonderful :) Dont worry I thoght the same ting and the AT&T lady assured me it would get to me in that time frame. :)

Got it (3G S) today :thumbup:. For some reason they didn't engrave my name on it, unless it's hidden somewhere. I'm very happy without the engraving since I couldn't get an apostrophe :) . I like it better than my ipod touch 2G.

It's better than I expected. I like the voice commands for making calls & playing music. I thought the compass was a gimmick, but it figuratively knocked my sockets off - attractive & functional.
