I am actually in Springfield (which is not far from Branson) right now for like 8 days. :) Its a nice city. Branson has a lot of things to do. See if the city has a website and inquire about more info/coupons. Springfield has a website and they mailed me a coupon book (which has amazing coupons in it!). :) |

We go every year around x-mas to meet up with my sister. There is alot to do but very busy place. I would suggest, Shopping...shopping and more shopping. The Landing is great! The old down town is unqiue. The river boat is kind of different. There is just about everything you can think of to do! Have a great time!!:) |
Branson is my home away from home.... We go there about twice a year and every time I go feels like i'm going home.. We always rent a cabin on Lake Tanneycomo and mainly fish, but it also has a lot of shopping. It is a very busy place and get ready for SLOW trafic, but the slow trafic isn't always bad. That's when we cruise the strip and see everything that we may want to go and do... There are two lakes. Lake Tanneycomo and Table Rock Lake... Both very, very nice lakes.... Branson has almost anything you want to do. It's just whatever you like... Has a lot of good shows.. My favorite is The Presleys... If you need to know anything just ask, I proably know.... Have fun and let us know how it went when you get back.... The pic on my avatar is Mia at Branson...:) |

Anne, you will be visiting my home stompin' grounds....I was born and raised in the Branson area (actually Springfield, MO). I cannot even begin to tell you how much there is to do there! :) You have to have to have to visit Silver Dollar City...that's a must. :D Silver Dollar City - Branson Missouri You need to do a little bit of shoppin' at The Landing and maybe hit a music show. There are a bunch to chose from. Dolly Pardon has a fun restaurant that is there...it's called, Dixie Stampede. Gosh, you could just drive up and down the Branson strip and found all sorts of things to do. There's a Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum...it's okay. There's a wax museum...I have never been to it. I saw someone mention the Titantic...I have never been to it, but have heard great things. How long will you be in Branson? There's just sooooo much to do that you will want to pick and chose based on how much time you have to spend there. You are welcome to email me. :) Tam |
Branson is a BLAST!!!!!!! My family went last summer. It was so much fun. We all went to the Dixie Stampede!!! What a great time!!! Lambert's is a great place to go eat!!! YES THEY DO THROW ROLLS!!!!!! When my mom told me about Lambert's I thought she was joking!!!!! We went to Walmart in the middle of the night and it was so full of people I was just amazed!!! It was like being there shopping the day after Thanksgiving!! There is so much to do. We thought we had everything planned out that we wanted to do. There was just so much we couldn't get to it all. We rode the ducks!!! That was a blast!! You will have such a great time!!!!! |
We love staying at the Bradford Inn Bed n Breakfast. From this point you can see the fireworks at Celebration City for those nights that you have shopped till you drop on your deck with a glass of wine. All the rooms have their own theme and the breakfast is "down home" and made by the owner. It is extremely clean and friendly. It is located just outside of Branson so you are not located on the strip and the noise. However if you want to get closer, the Bradford House is very nice and has a more of a "Romantic" breakfast feel to it. It also is off the strip but is right in town. Both are very nice. We love the Dixie Stampede, Branson Showboat (the food and the show at both are GREAT) also the new Sight and Sound Theater is extremely worth going too. Noah is showing at this time and they will have a Christmas show later this year. The Passion or Joseph's Coat are also very good. We have never seen a bad show in Branson. Lambert's, that someone mentioned above, is located in Ozark, north of Branson, just make sure you don't mind the wait. We love the Landing and always make a point at eating at Famous Dave's BBQ because the food is great and they are so very friendly. My favorite store at the Landing has to be Belk's because of the discount prices. We are planning a trip back to San Antonio in the latter part of August of this year, but we will be back to our old stopping grounds in September again............Branson, Missouri.........I was raised in Springfield, Missour. I hope you have a wonderful Anniversary! Congratulations! |
