UGH! Why me? Just needing to let out some air here. Why is it that during the week, my son (who's fixin to turn 5 in a couple of weeks) will not get up to get ready for school but on SATURDAY, THE ONE DAY OF THE WEEK I WANT TO SLEEP IN, he's up at the butt crack of dawn!!!! 6:30 A.M. Not only did I wake up to my son being up watching cartoons, but I hear this crinkling, crunching sound...I follow the sound with one eye half open...stumblin and bumpin into the wall...and there he is...REBEL THE DEVIL...WITH A BAG OF DORITOS COOL RANCH CHIPS THAT THE KIDS USE IN THEIR LUNCHES. IF IT'S NOT TRENT, IT'S REBEL AND ON THOSE SPECIAL OCCASIONS, IT'S BOTH OF THEM TOGETHER! GGGGGGGRRRRRRR!!!!!!! |
Man can I RELATE to that !! My youngest was TERRIBLE about going to school - but wait for the weekend and CARTOONS and he'd be into everything. Then he started trying to dress himself....eating all sorts of BAD stuff - getting into his brothers video games - you name it ...on the weekend - he did it !! On REALLY cold morning ....like 30 DEGREES....I found him wearing his too small REALLY Short shorts - Cowboy boots ...and his WINTER COAT ready to go out the door to play - He looked SO SILLY and I was like - "WHERE do you think you're going MISTER.... dressed like THAT ?" It was like 6 AM on a Saturday morning ...lol...he looked totally WRONG in those shorts and Ski Jacket ! |
I feel so sorry for you, but I had to laugh...I know exactly how you feel, mine did the same thing when they were young....and now Yoda has taken to this nasty lil' habit to....but ya gotta luv 'em! :p |
I can relate I have a five year old too and cartoons have to be one at the crack of dawn. My yorks are up and at it too. |

I'm right there with ya girl - I've already had like 4 cups of coffee and I do NOT have young children in my house if you don't count Chanel and Cheri who HAVE to wake me up at 5 to TOAD HUNT ! lol...your son sounds darling - I'd love to see a picture of him :) and I'd REALLY love to see him when he dresses himself - Five years old is the cutest age |

Thanks, guys! Yes, he us a handsome little sh**!!!! I don't even want to imagine what it will be like when he gets older. Mom is going to have to take her shotgun out and clean it! LOL! |
Kimberley - 1st i had to laugh when i read that he was 'fixin' to turn 5. i love the word fixin. haha. omg your son is soooo cute! i love his little dimple. you have such dark hair - its a wonder that he's hair is soooo light! when i was little i used to wake up really early and watch a cartoon called Snorkles or Snorks. It was a knock-off of the Smurfs. It was so stupid that they only aired it @ 5AM :) I would be REALLY quiet though and sneak around so that my parents wouldn't hear me |
