Acupuncture? Has anyone had acupuncture done? Does it hurt? i'm so nervous, but considering having it done to help with my headaches. Any info would be great!!! I'm going to be a mess walking into the office :p such a wimp! |
I've had it done many times for different things and it helps so much! My chiropractor does acupuncture and I get such good results, I always refer to her as wonder woman. I am always amazed at how well and how quickly it works. Besides the muscles and things, I oftentimes have a problem getting rid of a sinus infection, even with antibiotics. Now, I just go to her and it takes 2 times and the sinus infection is gone. It may hurt a little...but not bad. It seems when the needles are in a problem area, they may burn a little when they turn them. As far as poking the needles in, she does it so quickly that I hardly notice that. Good luck! I hope this helps your headaches. I've had it done for headaches too and it has worked for me. |

they TURN them??? ahh maybe i shouldn't ask so many questions- just go and close my eyes.... and i'm sure if it hurts TOO bad he will stop- it is also my chiropractor..... sinus infections eh? I get those horribly- and antibiotics mess with my heart- i should try the acupuncture next time.... and maybe the sinus infections i get are some how linked to my migraines... hmmmm... something to think about :) |
If they are doing it right it shouldn't hurt. Once they are in you don't feel them, I almost fell asleep a few times. It really does work but make sure you are using someone who knows what they are doing. |

Acupuncture is a very precise treatment. I would make sure he has degrees in acupuncture before using him. I would go to a specialist. Not many Chiropractors are trained in this form of medicine. Just my 2 cts. |

One of my best friend just start doing that, I ask her the same questions lol, she said don't hurt, and had help her with back pain and stress;) |
Please make sure your chiro went through accupuncture training--mine did--it took her 2 years! She is excellent-I also go to one who studied 5 years in China---she is much better! If you are looking for significant results--look for someone who has extensive training. My results were AMAZINg...I was HIGHLY skeptical and afraid of the pain--I have slept through most treatments, it isn't painful--feels good to get the body flowing well! It does make a real difference my medical Dr. took all my vitals before and after accupuncture for 3 months---drastic change with only adding in accupuncture. |

I've had it several times, and I swear, I often find it more relaxing than a massage. I feel SO good afterward. :) |
My sister-in-law is an acupuncture doctor. She also does cupping, massage, something with heat & smoke, & herbal medicine. Whenever she visits she gives me a treatment for whatever I say is bothering me at the time. Works very well, & is painless. Last night, as she was giving me a treatment, I decided that if I was a multi-millionaire, I would hire her full time. |
