breeding mice Anyone know anything about mice? My husband breeds for his snake to eat. Well the 2 female mice had their first litters without any problem... they were about 4-5 wks old when he bred them again.. the female had her babies.. several days went by without a problem.. then she ate them. A couple days later shes laying over, not moving, limp.. and her sides are sunk in. Anyone know what the problem might be? He decided to go ahead and feed her to the snake, but I am still curious. |
wow how do you live with a snake in your house Id be terrified,we dont have them in my country and Ive never seen one in real life. What sort of snake is it?I cant help but feel sorry for the mice, thinking of them being eaten kinda grossed me out and what if the mouse had something wrong with it couldnt it hurt the snake? My cat brought a mouse inside the other night and let it go so I begged my husband to catch it and let it go,he wasnt too happy chasing a mouse around but the kids helped him catch it.It was one lucky mouse. :) dianne and prudence :) |
Sorry Krystenah, no advice on the mice. But this is too funny Quote:

Ugghh... no advice- sorry. My bf's old roommate had snakes. I hated when they killed the mice, but it was pretty neat to see them eat- the way their jaws open right up. I am not a fan of snakes or mice, though, so I can't be much help to you. |
We have a ball python, and a nelson milksnake. I can't even watch them eat the mice. Makes me feel bad. :( |
