Something so beautiful be so deadly
 
I just received this email from a friend. These are pictures of Katrina hitting land. It is amazing they are beautiful pictures. A shame something that beautiful would be so deadly. Sorry for repeating myself. If they don't post here anyone is interested in seeing these pictures you can send me an email at shecass1@comcast.net.

It didn't work sorry but they are gorgeous pictures. Anyone wants to see them just let me know.

I just got that same email - here are a few of the good pictures - they were UNREAL !

Wow! They are beautiful. The first one hardly even looks real, and the sky in the last is phenomenal. Did your friend takes those, shecass? It really is ironic that those photos can be of something so awful.

My sister in law sent me the ones I posted - but I think they're what Shecass probably has too - they being emailed around right now - there are 9 in all -

Shecass had the great idea to post them ...Incredible aren't they ?

Great pictures. Eerie. Speaking of Katrina, here's a picture the associated press ran of a rescued dog. Breaks your heart, but it's good to know its safe. somebody will be happy to get their dog back.

Thanks Villette, I just dind't even try to take the time to redo the pictures with everything going on with Mollie this week. Yes these are the same pictures that I got. A good friend of mine that I used to work with in the insurance industry sent these to me.

They are beautiful. I was mesmerized(sp) by them.

those pictures are amazing, but i dont think they're pictures of katrina. i recently read in snopes that those pictures are of various storms in different locations. here's the link: http://www.snopes.com/photos/natural/storm.asp

According to the email I got they are of Katrina. I just going by that. Doesn't matter though they are amazing.

Snopes is a website that "debunks" a lot of misconceptions and things claimed in email. The pictures themselves are simply amazing, though! :)

A heartbreaking picture but at least this little one made it through the storm and
may meet up with it's owners soon. I missed that AP picture and thanks for
showing it to all of us.

AWWWW...I missed seeing this photo too~ So happy to see this baby o.k...
And I hope it gets back with its Mommie and Daddy...
