This is Butterscotch and Montana (after Hanna Montana of course, lol). Montana is a month old today! I just love them so much. I love all of my horses of course, buckskins have always been my fav though. I will have to get some really pretty ones of my brown paint later...she is a gem too. These will just melt you though!

Thanks! She was bred with a Grulla, so we arent sure if she will turn grulla or lighter buckskin. I love both! I have a grulla gelding and a buckskin mare, so it doesn't really matter to me!

Awwwwwww, I'm so jealous!!!! I miss those days when we had foals every year!! We were lucky to have been with all our mares when they delievered. Spent many sleepless nights being on "foal watch". LOL. Give anything to have 1 more night. I only have 9 horses now. 2 Stallions, 1 Gelding and 6 Mares. Due to my Fathers health we are having to sell many of them. Been very hard to find "good" homes for them.
Have fun with your Filly! They grow up too fast!! :)

I Love horses too. I used to ride alot when I was in H.S. Your new filly is so cute. Her mom is gorgeous too! Thanks so much for shaing their pictures and Congrats again on the baby...:)

Don't know alot about horses, but I've always loved them and think they are awesome animals! Butterscotch and Montana are beautiful.

Montana is a beauty. Do the kids take horses to the fair? I haven't been to my sisters' house since early last month, its really greened up over there. Thanks for sharing.

No, my kids dont take them to the fair yet, just the goats. Well the kids take the goats to fair, not the goats take the horses, lol!! I am hoping at some point they will though. Might help if we had a horse trailer too :(

Beth- I grew up on an Arabian horse farm. We had tons of horses and I loved it when we had babies too! Why are you having a hard time finding good homes for your horses? I was having a terrible time finding a new home for one of ours too. I finally found a new home for him. Its so expensive to feed right now with the cost of hay being so high. That might be part of it.

DITTO!!! I was just telling my hubby the other day that I would LOVE to have horses one day!!! I use to ride when I was in hs too... but since then I havent done any ridding... :( I MISS IT!!! They are both beautiful. What breed are they? It's nice to see horses with some color as I own Morgans, and colored Morgans aren't quite accepted yet. Congrats on the foal!

She is a quarter horse. All I have are quarter horses right now, but I grew up owning all Arabians. I think Arabs are prettier, but they are just more spirited than QHs. Although I did own a couple of really great bomb proof arabs, one egyptian and one polish. I love color! I would love a dapple grey though, not too rare or anything, but my egyptian arab was that color and she was my favorite horse growing up. I love the dun and cream traited colors the best. Honestly though, the only colors I guess I dont love are sorrel and black is not that great unless the horse has incredible conformation. I have a grulla gelding and a brown tricolor paint mare that are pretty spiffy too.

What beauties! I am so jealous. Its probably so much fun to have that baby growing up before you eyes. My mare has had 3 babies a blood bay, chocolate and a red chocolate. I have not gotten the courage up yet to breed her. Lack of knowledge on my part but they told me she does everything on her own.
