Only in cartoons, books, or as chew toys. They don't make my skin crawl like the other guys, but they do worry me as I don't want to be stung. I have been stung right by my eye before amongst other places and it wasn't because I was intentionally threatening their lives. :p

I agree. Bats are big enough to deal with and easier to locate/target/trap as a result.

I'm actually going to order some to use on my dog bows. A lot of people just collect buttons too. I don't collect them but they're sooo darn cute! :p

LOL, no it wasn't what you had posted. I just grabbed your first pic to compare with the post of the pic I had taken a couple of years back of what I was eating at the time. That's the 2nd pic. :) The only difference is there's no yellow in the green topping of your sushi roll! LOL. j/k ;)

As a matter of fact, your photograph is so prettily taken, it looks like something that is man made and edible. :p

To me, it resembles a roll topped with slices of chayote squash, stuffed with sea urchin, and decorated on top with tiny artistic specks of salmon roe. :) Now that is food art. Yummy. ;)

There are some, but not MANY :eek: I am not a "bug" person myself....at all :eek: However, I do call Tatum my little "Tator BUG" lol...or I just call her "Bugs" or "Baby Bugs" - she has so many knicknames that girl. :D

I nearly said this myself. Tator Bug is the cutest bug there is. Ohhh and Lily Bug too!

OMG, that's a beautiful (and totally harmless) June bug. When I was little, I use to tie a string to one of their back legs and let them fly around making the humming noise.

You know what bugs totally freak me out? A stag beetle. I had one clamp down on my little toe one time when I was walking through some wet grass. I seriously ran crying to my husband with this huge beetle hanging off my foot, lol. Of course, he just laughed at me, but he took it off. These little guys are STRONG too.

Oh, oh! FIRE FLIES. They are probably not cute close up, but the big ones aren't even cute, they are beautiful. Those are some of my best memories of New York, walking through Central Park at dusk and seeing them all lit up. Sigh....

I don't like any bugs. Not even butterflies. They have lots of creepy legs! I am terrified of grasshoppers because they can jump and fly and they are sooooo ugly.

So I was standing outside school today waiting for my ride and I saw this GIGANTIC ant. It was HUGE. at least half an inch long. It made me think of this thread. Not that he was cute, but he was an interesting looking bug. So...I took his picture. :p

I lovelovelove fire flies! I remember once I was at a pool party and the kids were all killing them and taking their lights out. It was horrible. :(

This past summer we had some missionaries from our church over for dinner, and they're from Utah (where apparently there aren't many (any?) fire flies) and they were so excited to see them. It cracked me up.

But yeah. Fire flies rock.

Some bugs are actually really beautiful. Here is a golden beetle. Yes, its real. :) They live in South America, I think.
