I want what i was promised I want to kill someone at the cox communications company. Anger does not begin to describe what i am feeling right now. Here is the story: once upon a time when we moved into our apartment we got cable. We got all teh channels we wanted 1-97 or whatnot and we were happy. The evil cox company showed up to look at our INTERNET connection and discontinued our service by saying that we are only paying for channels 1-13 ...... a week goes by and we are still angry, but low and behold a cox representative calls us and redeems themselves by offering us DIGITAL CABLE with our extended channels (we MADE SURE abotu this) for only 12.50 more than what we are paying now. Well, a tech comes to install our service but we are still only getting channels one through thirteen on digital so we call teh company and they admit that there was a mistake and come out and fix our cable... all of our dreams were coming true, but little did we know the big fat corprate JERK was lying in wait until i was in PAIN from SURGERY to CUT OFF ORU CABLE AGAIN!!!!! i have called for two days and at first they said it was a mistake with the signal and they would call me back (no calls back) and then today they say "you were cut off because you are only paying for channels one through thirteen" WHAT?!!! :mad: Now they are giving us the run around saying that if we want the channels then we need to pay an ADDITIONAL $25 (it may not seem like much, btu then that brins our bill up to around $100).... WTF? i need to PAY MORE for a service that i was promised i allready HAD? I really do want to cry right now, i actually was in tears this morngin over the frustration of it all...... my fiance looks over at me and says "why are you crying" :-/ .... it is not fun argueing with people when you are in pain, it sucks. My fiance then started arguing with them and the only thing that has gotten done so far is to have an e-mail sent to the customer service suppervisor at his home. what do you all think i should do? i am going to talk with the supervisor and relate this story in a less fairytailish manner, and ask for compensation (liek i want what i was f-in promissed!!!!!) |

I would call the corporate office and speak to someone big there. Give them a timeline of when this problem will be fixed. |
Oh that so stinks,! But did I miss something more important? Did you have surgery?? Where have I been? Are you OK? I hate crappy cable companies and internet services, where thay have you hanging over an open pit!! Hope your feeling better! :p |
Aww Orinskye, i hope you are feeling better after the surgery and the careppy day cause of the cable. I hope the problems with the cable company has being fix and you get what you were promised. Tell them that you will switch cable company and believe me they will accomodate ASAP for not to loosing your patronage. Good luck. |
I am sorry this has happened to you. We have had our battles with the cable co too. They sweetened our deal when we told them we were considering going over to satelite dish. |
Our cable company was always messing up...channels did not work properly...so we switched to dish network...after the switch the cable company has been trying to get us to sign up with them again lol...but we like dish too much! |
Yea thats who we were gonna go with. The cable company made my husband a deal though and he went with that. I think in 6 months when the deal expires we will probably change to dish network. We have high definition tv and it offers more high def channels. |
Same story here ... except it was Cable One! We bought our Dish Network system and it's wonderful!! Even when the weather is bad and the signal for one particular satellite is lost, it recovers quicker than cable comes back on when it messes up! I miss my satellite!!! It's in Alabama in our home there but when we get moved here in Colorado we are going to tell Bresnen Cable [which is what we have in the condo] just exactly where they can put their cable boxes ... but only after we get our new Dish and all the equipment in place!!! I miss my DVR!!! Just call the Dish Network folks and get the dish installed and then tell Cox to shove it!! ;) |

:( i got a call back from there service department, but i didnt have my cell phone on me ... so i didnt get to talk to anyone yet. They left a message saying, this is unfortunate, but you cant get what you dont pay for, im sorry you were led to believe that this was part of your service, blah blah blah, call me at this number, blah blah blah.... I called and got there message machine, but yes... we are considering a dish network.... at any rate we are DEFFINATLY canceling or digital TV, why in the hell would we order digital tv for THIRTEEN CHANNELS??? :mad: :confused: . . . if they dont give us what services we were promised (at the price they were promised) then we are deffinatly taking our buisnnes elsewhere oh and i am fine, if you look in off topics of "adios yorkietalk" you can hear all about my wisdom teeth getting pulled :rolleyes: |

this is really starting to piss me off. . . the woman left me her number and told me she would be able to answer my call and she would be in the office UNTIL FIVE OCLOCK.... I called her at 1:30.... 2:30....... and at 4:30 and her voice machine says that she will be OUT OF TEH OFFICE UNTIL THURSDAY :mad: :thumbdown . I am SICK of being lied to and i am sick of being jerked around. I sent them TWO e-mails today and have not heard back on either one of them :mad: :thumbdown their customer service SUCKS |

NO, if anything it is making the problem worse..... but that is not the least of it...... wait till you here this I just called customer service again and they took a look at my acount and saw that WE DO HAVE EXPANDED SERVICE, she is CLUELESS as to why they took it off. She said that the expanded service was added yesterday :confused: ... so now i have to call billing on monday to MAKE SURE that we are getting teh expanded service for the promised price......... |
