Crafters: Question re (of sorts) mosiacs Patterned Pots and more creative crafts projects, templates, tips, clip-art, patterns, and ideas on marthastewart.com What type of product would be best for adhering the pieces of mosiac to the flower pot? What would I use as far as grout? Thanks! |
Cool! I have no idea, but you could check the the ceramics forum on Craftster. Ceramics, Polymer Clay Projects & Handmade Pottery Techniques & Ideas - Craftster |
Kyle, you might want to talk to Judy In Waco, I know she makes stunning tile mosiacs. |

4 Attachment(s) Hey Kyle! I've done lots of mosaic on bricks. I used regular tile and smashed them with a hammer to break up the pieces. I used regular tile glue to place the pieces on the bricks and the regular grout that they use for floors. I think there is a craft type grout you can get at a craft store, but I think the regular stuff would work great. I've been thinking of doing a flower pot in mosaic. Maybe this summer. Here's some pictures of some of my creations. The large ones are a walkway to one of my sunroom doors. Last fall a stupid electric worker must have dropped a tool on one of them and now it's all broken up...so I have to do a new one. From now on when workers are here, I'm putting plywood over my stuff! |
Connie, your work is INCREDIBLE! How would you like to come to Gerogia for a few months. We moved into our home 9 years ago, and I have yet to plant a flower garden. What a beautiful garden border! And who would ever dream of walking on your walkway!!! |
