Just a little rant. People gotta lov 'em It was pouring here today. I ran to the store to pick up some last minute things for tomorrow. When I get to the door of the store all the carts are kind of stuck together so I went into the store by the register and I saw a woman with her 20 something son. Well they only had one plastic bag with a few items in it so I asked politely if she was done with the wagon if I could have it well she said NO I NEED IT. There was noplace else she could have gone with the wagon except her car. I was so angry. I went back outside in the pouring rain and walked to the parking lot and got myself a wagon. Needless to say I was soaked. I was sooooo mad. I hope someone returns the favor to her someday. I am always the one who is so nice and I hold the door for people. I let older people go ahead of me on line. I just ran across a selfish b***h. Even the cashier looked at me like she couldn't believe this woman. I try not to let things get to me but I was really mad. Thanks for listening to my rant. |
the store is the WORST place to go if your in a bad mood! someone will always make you mad!! I feel your pain!:) |
You had one of those days too? lol I have been moving all day, so needless to say, I wasn't dressed in tiny little hip hugger jeans and a tiny little top and heels... I had a pair of baggy sweatpants, an oversized t-shirt, and my hair was back in a pony tail. I ran past the store and there were two guys in their 20's in line in front of me and were like "It must be casual Saturday" and the other guy said "Must be MORE than casual Saturday". I wanted to slap them... yes, I looked like a bum, but I was working all day and truthfully, I'm NOT trying to impress anyone. Hubby said he didn't see anything wrong with the way I looked and he said that those guys were lucky that HE wasn't there when they said that. I just ignored it. People are just so ignorant and self absorbed. |

Your right, let me rephrase that, it will PUT you in a bad mood!! Lol My pet peeve is when someone goes in the fast checkout line with more then 20 items. The cashier never says anything and its so rude! |

I had to go to the store 3 times in a row (I kept forgetting stuff) and each time went out with one item. I thought going through the self check out would be faster cause technically I don't think you should have 123.814 items in your cart, but every self check out was taken by people with a whole cartful. I had to wait in a line for 1 stupid little item and I was already irritated that I had to go back so many times. UGH! |

I would of asked her "WHY" she needed it so bad... then watched as she realised how selfish she was when she came out with her dumb excuse. Quote:

I even hated to ask her. But it was raining and no wagons anywhere so I just figured I would look by the registers. I'm telling you she had 1 plastic bag with a few items in it. It didn't look heavy and besides her big son was with her. I was just stunned. I certainly would not have asked if it would have inconvienced her in any way. Or if she had a child in the wagon. I have struggled to get to my car with my bags in my hands just so I could give my wagon to someone with a small child. I've been there!! Unfortunatly I got a woman that was just ignorant to human behavior. That's ok though, I dried off...she will continue to be ignorant. |

I know my grandmother's buggy doubles as a walker when she goes to the store, even if, as you say, she has very few items. I certainly hope she hadn't inadvertantly upset someone over doing that. |

Is finding a reason to be upset and assuming because someone doesn't react the way I think they should a better option? Does it make you feel justified for being upset by convincing yourself that ONLY reason behind her actions is because she was trying to be mean and difficult? They should have been inconvenienced so that you weren't? Sorry, I thought pointing out another possibility would have alleviated some of your stress over the situation...I guess not.:( I personally think that some people's needs come before my own convenience, but that's just me. |
Thats why I do all My shopping on Saturday Morning as soon as the shops open. Its not busy and people are courteous |
You know I can help what upsets me or doesn't upset me. I do try to always think of other people. I know I didn't misread the situation. I've been around the block a few times. SHE was rude, not me. She kind of looked at me like I was crazy for asking. As I said before even the cashier looked at kind of stunned at her reaction. Her bad day turned into her being rude to me. Anyway it was just my little rant for the day. It's over now. I will contunue to try to not let others bother me but I am human also with feelings, not a machine. It was really no big deal just a little something that happened to me that day that's all. I am not a mindreader and I don't know how others will react. but that's ok For the most part the people I come across are courtious and friendly she's was just not one of those people. No biggie!! |
I kinda have to agree with BamaFan. I would have just asked a store employee to help me get one unstuck. I would not be out in the cold rain getting a cart, but that's just me:) |
There were like three out there and looked like they haven't been unstuck (if that's a word) In a loog, long time. It was really no big deal I just figured I would check inside and I saw that she only had a small bag. I just went out into the parking lot and got a wagon. It was her uncourtious reaction that bothered me not the fact that she didn't give it to me. She just said, "No I need it" rather short with me. I would have at least said "oh I'm sorry I really need it" She didn't even kind of look at me. It was just weird. |
