Haunting in Connecticut Anyone seen it yet? Is it scary, worth seeing? i heard its a true story.. |
I don't like scary movies, so I haven't seen it. To me it looks so EHHH. I have a friend who saw it and she loves scary movies. Well, any type of movies. Anyway, she said it was really scary... like she was scared to be by herself after and she doesn't get scared often. So I'll take her word for it and so it must be truly scary.... therefore I won't go see it especially since it's based on a true story... I'm such a scaredy cat haha |
I want to go see it but Im to scared!! I wonder if anyone on here from Conn has heard anything about the " real " house:eek::eek: |
I like scary movies...I wonder, myself, how true it is...Amityville horror was supposed to be true also but, then I heard nothing was ever proved. I wonder sometimes about these "true" horror movies...Any Connecticut peeps out there that can verify this one?? |
List of A Haunting episodes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Haunting in Connecticut - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia We watch a show on the Discovery Channel called A Haunting and their very first episode featured this story. Most of the stories on this program are hard to believe actually happened but my boy's like watching them and look at it more as a "Goosbump" show than a real deal:rolleyes: There is a book by Ray Garton called "in a Dark Place: A True Haunting" It's interesting to note that Garton has stated this about the book he wrote. "Elements of Carmen Snedeker's story clashed with elements of Al Snedeker's story, and it seemed everyone was having a problem keeping their stories straight. Frankly, I didn't notice until I had nearly finished all my interviews and began going over my notes, then I started having trouble matching up the details." |
I saw it and while it was not as scary as I thought it was going to be, there were some good parts. |
Brandy - I also watch A Haunting, and I remember being scared to DEATH watching that episode of it! I will *not* see the movie. The story scares me very badly. I still get scared thinking about just the one episode of it. |
i didnt see the episode yet, i dont want to watch it alone lol |
I haven't watched the movie, I am also a scaredy cat but I do like watching A Haunting sometimes, scaring myself lol. I read that the people who live in the house now wish people would leave them alone and that they have no problem with the house. The lady who family went through this horrific experience said the seance cleared the spirits out that's why there is no problems. |

I also LOVE watching Ghost Hunters and Ghost hunters International! My husband works nights and sometimes I get so darn scared that I can't go to bed. I live in an older home that is over 100 years old. Our home was alway's in the same family till we bought it. We have had some unexplained things happen ( not to scarry but unexplained) once we started to renovate our Kitchen:eek: |
This looks like one I just may have to break down and see at the theatre - which is a rare treat for us. I LOVE scary movies and hate cheesy scary movies. I hope this one lives up to it's trailer! |
It does look scary... but I heard it was all fake. And something about the people who live in that house was annoyed because people keep coming by to take photos of the house. They lived in there for 2 years and nothing has happend... thats just what I heard. |
I watched the documentry on A&E awhile back, no need to see it. |
I went to see it last week, it was ok. I did do a bunch of research on the "true story" after seeing it and watched the discovery show episode. If you go into it expecting it to feel like a true story you will be disappointed because there is a lot that is just to far fetched, however if you go in just to see it as a fictional scary movie I don't think you will be disappointed |
Heck, this is the first time I've ever even heard about it |
