I'm joining the ranks of the unemployed!
 
I found out last week that my department is being moved to our headquarters out of state and I'm losing my job.
I've been with the company for 11 years and right now I'm feeling shocked, sad, scared and overwhelmed! :cry8:
I know I'm in the same boat as so many, too many people and it feels terrible.
Just the thought of having to get out there and start over, ughh!
I just needed to get it out and vent!

I know what you mean! Sorry you are going thru this. It is really hard out there. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers that all works out for you.

Have you been given the option of relocating to keep your current position? Is it even a possibility for you?

Thank You, I appreciate that! It is hard out there, which just makes the situation so much worse!

No it's not a possibility for my position, besides the headquarters are in NY and my family is here in Ohio.

That's stinks! Sorry your find yourself without a job at this time.
So many are without work. I hope you find something your qualified
for soon. You never know. They saying goes, if one door closes then
chances are a better one will open. I hope that is true for you.

Good luck and hang in there. It will get better I'm sure.

Thank You, it really helps to hear encouraging words, especially when you aren't feeling that way yourself at the moment!

I really feel bad for you. :( I'm so sorry you are actually loosing your job. :(

I haven't lost my job yet, but I've been laid off since the end of January and things don't seem to be getting much better where I work/worked. I have been there for 8 and a half years.

I just don't think their are many jobs out there to be had and the ones that are have so many people applying for them.

Hang in there. I'm thinking of you!!! Here's a hug from PA from me to you. Sounds like you could use one today. :hug:

I am so sorry to hear that. I am so scared for our economy and the state of the nation, the people. Its really sad! I hope and pray everyday that things turn around. Getting a new job can be hard, but starting a new job can be so much fun! I love job hopping. I do it a lot. I learn so much and I get paid more with each job I go to. It can be scary but usually worth it. Good Luck! (((HUGS)))

I am sorry to hear about your job. I know EXACTLY what you are feeling because I lost my job that I had been at for 10 yrs on Feb 16th. At first you are just overwhelmed with all the feelings. I cried for a few days, prayed a LOT, then moved forward. And them to make things worse my husband lost his job 8 days after I lost mine. Talk about panic :eek: I did that, but he never did, he just said God never gives you more than you can handle.

He started a new job yesterday, and I am starting a business that I have dreamed about doing for a long time, and I couldn't be happier.

And I know that you will also come out better and happier, but unfortunately we just don't know when because it isn't in our hands. I will most definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and if you feel like you want to talk, please feel free to PM me.

I'm so sorry! This economy is just unreal and affecting people so horribly. My thoughts are with you and I hope you can find something you like very soon!
