Chemical Peel? Has anyone here had a chemical peel done?....If so where you pleased and how long did the results last?.....Did you look like a burn victim? |
I'm on day 4 now of a chemical peel, so I don't know the full results yet. But, I'm thinking I'll be pleased. It's not near as bad as I had thought it would be, as far as the burning, itching, etc. I don't look like a burn victim but then I won't leave my house for another few days either bc of the peeling. I'll probably go through the procedure again in another month though with a stronger solution. |
I have never even heard of a chemical peel |
I had a friend who got it and her face was similarly colored to this-- for several days. She couldn't even work. If I remember correctly, her acne got a lot of worse after. |

I know a couple of people who had this done with pretty much the same result. If you have it done, you definitely want to avoid any sun exposure. |

I hear a salicylic acid is good for acne and the acne may or may not get a little worse when you begin treatments. I'm looking for improvement in fine lines, texture and evening out the color..... |
I looked it up. I am going to just age gracefully. I am 52 and actually have no wrinkles. good luck though |

For someone with acne, there may be better things to use than a peel. I can see why acne may become worse though, bc of all of the moisturizer they want you to use to help alleviate the itching. |

This is where I got the TCA peel. And you bet, here in a few days I'll let you know the final results. TCA Peel, TCA Peels, TCA Peel For At Home Use |

I got mine from OSS......I started out slow because I was a little scared....So far I've done four 30% glycolic's and one 85% lactic for a quich refresher and about 12 days ago I did my first TCA 15%.......It went pretty well...... I'm older so I was concerned about lines and texture and tone ....So far the tone of my skin has improved a lot!...It was very dull and drab lookng and it's now fresh looking again, I'm pleased......So far the lines under the eyes are still there but I just know I will see improvements after a few ore TCA's.... I can't do another TCA for 6 weeks I have to let the skin rest and do a totally cell turnover and it takes that long or I can thin my skin....I can't wait! I hope your pleased too, but I've been told to not expect a "WOW!" moment the results are cumulative and it takes a series to see sutle results....Good luck with yours! |

I had been using retin-a prior to this peel so I didn't use any of the other peels before the TCA. I was tempted to start with an 18% peel, but decided to be cautious and started with the 15% also. And like you, the tone and even texture of the new skin is much better already. With the improvement I've had thus far, I'm expecting even better results as I go through this. We'll have to stay in touch and compare our results. Good luck to you too!:) |
You where braver than I was, I had to work up to the TCA......Did yours burn when you put it on?.....Mine burned like the dickens!......My DH thought I had lost my mind! LOL.....Who would have thought a person would deliberately want to put acid on themselves and look forward to it! lol I'm sending you a pm...... |
I've tried 60% glycolic at home, no results :(. But, LOVE that site that was posted - I just bought TCA and Lactic. :) |

That is why I moved up to the TCA, I read they where stronger, I guess I'll see...I couldn't find the ph level on Make up Artists site but I think it's around 2.5....I get mine at another place where the ph is 1 which makes it stronger....That's ok if you want to get a gentler acid so it's a little safer with the higher ph.... For me the lactic is even milder than a gly. so I use that for a flash peel to refresh in between gly's...... I want to get that Pumpkin Peel it looks awesome!! |
