He is turning 40 and not in the mood for jokes.....so I had a girl do this for him, the family gave him wii and a few games for his birthday, so I thought this would be a good idea, other than the green....which they always did when he was a kid/teen.

Anyway, I will do his cake tonight after dinner.

That's awesome. I turned 40 this past December. I was thrown a surprise party,and honestly would have liked to not have been put through it,although it was fun(the party) ...turning 40 was not my favorite number...lol. Great idea and enjoy your small celebration.

Thanks y'all! I know I dread b'days....I turned 33 last October and I didn't want to do anything....I let Maya pick out cupcakes...she got me Bratz....lol

I don't know what we are going to do with that big cake.....she sharged for a small cake but, wanted to make it on a bigger one she is buildinng her collection of pictures. It ws sweet of her, I just don't know what to do with all that cake. I will send a lot out, but can you freeze it??

Heck, I turned 50 2 years ago, and it never bothered me. I would rather be 52 than be 6 feet under. Seems like just yesterday that I was 40. My mom said when you get old, it seems like you go to bed, and wake up and it's your birhtday again

Yes, you can freeze cake for years. We took the top off of our wedding cake, and every year we would eat a piece of it until it was gone. I like freezing mine in deep freezes, that way they don't defrost, but back when we got married, we just had the regular refrigerator/freezer

Thanks.....I will put some in the freezer. I am sure we can use it at Easter's pool party for those little wet kids.....I don't know why, but I remember as a kid swiming always made me hungray.....not as an adult though:confused:.

Thanks y'all! It was so good, it tasted like wedding cake. I am getting that thing out of here when the sun comes up tomorrow. My son is just finishing the remote....we have a whole cake left!
