Today would be my nephew, Rich's birthday. He was a St. Patrick's Day baby. He was killed last July when he fell from a TV tower he was painting. We all miss him so much and it's so hard living life without him. He used to call me and email me often, and he always made my heart happy. Knowing I'll never hear his voice on the other end of the phone...and today being his birthday...I just feel so terribly sad.

I made 5 "Rich" books to give to family members today. I put pictures of Rich in them and also prints of some of his art work. On the back of the book, I have his purple pick up that he drew. When he was little, he told me, "When I grow up, I'm going to have a purple pick up." I still remember that day...his voice and his sweet little face.

Here's pictures of the book. The inside pages...the one where he's wearing the red bandanna is one he took of himself a week before he died when he was up on the tower. The last page is a very small copy of the undersea world drawing he did for me. I'll also put a picture of his purple pick up drawing.

Happy Birthday Richie...I miss you so much it hurts.

I remember that day Connie. An Anniversary of a death is sometimes harder than the death itself. You all are in my prayers.

I remember whenyou posted about this last year....I am so sorry. Today is Shane's ( dh ) b'day as well....I will take a second and remember Rich before we blow out the candles and send a prayer up for all the family and friends he left.

Dear Connie I know how terribly sad Richie's passing has been for you and Judy. Those books you made are so special and will help make a terribly hard day a little more bearable. You are so kind and thoughtful nit to mention talented.

I am sorry for your loss Connie. I think I also remember your story about
your nephew. When we lose someone close to us it terribly hard I know
but thinking about all the memories the two of you made thru the years
will bring comfort to you. The books are beautiful in his memory.
That was such a sweet thing to do and I hope it brings a smile to your
heart remembering those times.

What a beautiful tribute to him! Looks like he was talented in drawing...those keepsakes are wonderful....sorry this is such a sad day for you....it will get easier in time...:(

Connie, I am so sorry that today is so difficult. I remember your posts about your sweet nephew - he sounds like he was an incredible man. May God bring comfort to you and your family today.
