Has anyone here become pregnant after their tubes were tied?? I had my tubes cut, tied, and burnt in November of 2002 after my daughter was born. I havent had any missed periods since. MY last 2 periods have been really light and short. For the last 2-2/12 weeks I wake up in the mornings feeling like I am going to throw up. Sometimes I do sometimes I dont. After a few hours I am for the most part fine the rest of the day. i have had some backaches and my feet hurt. Im not sure what to think right now. I have looked it up online and have found mixed results. So I was just wondering if anyone here has had it happen to them. If so what kind of symptoms did you have? HELPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!! |
Have you taken a pregnancy test yet??? Stranger things have happened! |
bump bump bump |
I know someone who got pregnant after having her tubes tied. It was not the result of the tubes re-connecting in any way either and she has the pictures to prove it. Her doctor took them while performing a c section. |

I have no experience with pregnancy, since I dont have kids yet. But I do know that in junior high my best friends mother had a baby after her tubes had been tied for 12 years. We always said that it was the 12 year curse! But she got a little brother out of it, so it was kinda fun, but obviously very unexpected for her mother! |
I know two ladies who ended up getting pregnant after having their tubes tied years ago. Hope it's the news you want to hear :) |
Yes a close friend of mine. We believe it was because she did not wait the 30days to be safe. That was some years ago tho I'm not sure if you still have to wait that amount of time. However, it's been several years for you. Don't be insulted but could it be the change? I don't know your age but some go threw it very early. |
Looks like maybe you should do that test! Lighter, shorter periods could be a signal of early menopause but your other symptoms kinda make me suspect a bun in the oven. Good luck with whichever way you want the results to turn out! |
If it's really morning sickness then you are definitely far enough along to take a pregnancy test! I've heard the dollar store ones are just as good as the $14 ones at the drugstore (although I don't have any personal experience on that one!) but heck, it's worth $1 to find out, right?? :D P.S. It can totally be hormones. I had "morning sickness" 2 weeks a month for 6 months and it was totally hormones. I finally found a doctor who believed me and fixed me up. I would end up in the ER for nausea, dehydration and abdominal pain and they would throw me in the CT scan to verify it wasn't kidneys, gall bladder, appendix, etc. and no one believed me at the time. It was directly related to my cycle!!! |

omgosh...I've been joking lately that if it wasn't for having my tubes tied, I'd think I was pregnant with as much as I've been getting sick lately. Certain smell of stuff can just make me puke. I feel sick alot. I think mine is the flu hanging on.....(I sure hope so anyway) lol Let us know the outcome. |

My Aunt had a baby after her tubes were tied...so it can definitely happen. I'd go to the doctors and get a blood test done...that way if you're NOT pregnant...they can find out whats going on that is causing your symptoms. |

Actually, I got my positive on one of those before I got a positive on a good one. |
