I worked things out with my ex-husband and he promised to never do those horrible things again. We talked things out and he surprised me with a beautiful ring and asked me to marry him again! I know some of you do not approve but Im happy again for the first time since all this madness. We are getting married in summer of 2010 in the Mayan riviera!!! I hope some of you will be happy for me despite what he did. my best friends are all furious with me and think Im crazy for taking him back but I have to go with my gut instinct and it just seems right. Im engaged!!!!!!!

Congrats! I remember what happen and to be honest with you honey, it doesnt matter what anyone says...its your choice and your business. I hope that he realized his mistakes and has come to grips with what he did wrong and makes his changes. people makes mistakes, no one is perfect. If you are happy and believe that he has changed then that is all that matter!

I'm glad you finally managed to work things out. I know how hard this has been for you from the very begining till your more recent posts. If it feels right then go for it. I'm happy for you and I'm sure once everyone sees how happy you are they will understand and be happy for you.

My friend is going through something similar...different reason though. They are giving it one last shot ( again ) but, like I told her she has learbned how strong she really is if she has to be again, and so are you. I hope both of you don;t have to draw on your strengh for again for a break up, but you now know you can always handle bussiness if you have to. So I would let everything go.....and start fresh and pray its happy and smooth.....it can happen.

I couldn't be happier for you either....i remember reading your story....forgiveness is a wonderful thing to be able to give another person...we all make mistakes...nobody is perfect

awwww good luck sweetie!!! I really do wish you and him all the best! Noone can tell you what is right for you. You have a long history and a son with this man. Thats really hard to let go of.

I remember what happened and what you went through...and ya know what? You don't need anyone's "approval". People are capable of changing if they truly want to and it sounds like your ex wanted to.
