My kitchen is almost complete :D I can't wait till its done. My dh finished alot of the tile work and I wanted to post a photo of it. It took us forever to agree ( well kind of agree) on a tile ...I originally wanted glass , he wanted stone ( he won :rolleyes:) but now I really like it.

I am almost to the fun decorating part of it and done with the messy sheet rock dust part of it.:D

LOL...I know exactly how you feel about getting beyond that "messy sheet rock" phase. I swear that stuff is still in the pores of my skin from our remodel.

It is beautiful........ and the stone tile was a great choice...Kudos to your hubby!!! Very modern but not too much over the edge.... Love it!

Your kitchen looks very nice and easy to clean, when we first moved to our house, it needed "some minor" demolition and rebuilding,and with our budget we had to tile the counter top, :eek:, it is a pain to keep clean,Clorox and tooth brush in hand once a week, can't wait to be able to do what you did, but not for a while.
Enjoy you new kitchen!...how will be doing the cooking??LOL

If my kitchen looked like that I would not want to cook in it for fear of getting it dirty, scratched, or otherwise generally messed up! Reminds me of a plaque my Mom always had hanging in the kitchen. It said " My house is clean enough to be healthy, but dirty enough to be happy." :D

That is beautiful! I love the cabinet wood and the tile colors!!! I really need to redo my kitchen, but I don't like to cook, or spend much time there - so I don't want to spend my hard earned money on it (yeah, I'm cheep! :D)

We ( well I ) had originally wanted ebony cabinets and white(ish) granite , but dh figured the dogs and kids would make short work of black cabinets so we changed the color scheme hoping light cabinets wouldn't show scratches and dings quite as much.

Dh loves stone and I wanted all glass tile around the whole kitchen ....it took us atleast three months to agree on a tile , but now I like it. Dh likes to cook as much as I do ( hence the tile compromise on my part....I enjoy the nights he cooks ! ;)) and even my boys like to cook , so the kitchen gets alot of use and with the boys cooking we needed something that could come clean easily and handle them! ;)

I can't wait for the rest to be done :D but atleast I can cook again ( who ever thought I would miss that ?! )
