alittle rant I've applied for pet credit card's & regular one's & they deny me right away Usually because i don't have any credit it's really getting annoying I could really use one :( !! |
Oh don't even get me started on this one. Apparently having NO credit is worse than having BAD credit. I will never understand it. |
I don't get it either! |
If its care credit alot of people get denied |
I had the same problem...no credit=me getting denied on EVERY application I tried. What I ended up doing was having my mom add me as a card holder on her account and just made small purchases and paid them off in full. I would say within 6-7 months I was getting preapproved notices and now have 2 cards on my own. It helped me get my credit established :) |

If you don't build it then how can a lender take a chance on you:rolleyes: |
Well, I always had that problem too. I tried for several different cards and couldn't get approved on anything! Then one day out of nowhere I received a Capital One pre-approval notice in the mail. I was really confused considering I don't even have a job or any credit at all. I have it now though and I use it and just got a credit increase. See if you can find any credit card applications where it's for people with no credit. |
I had my dtr get one under my card when she was 16 with a 500 dollar limit and she would charge a little and pay it off. Then she was approved for her own limit under the card and used to to pay her last semester of school and has been paying it off since September and will have it paid off this month. The card is through Capital One. Sometimes store credit cards are easier to get and you can start to build a credit history. I know with the state of the economy right now they are really getting tough on issuing credit. Good luck |

I hate to say this but I work in retail and we have a store credit card. If you have no credit and apply and get denied your credit score gets hit. So by applying for store credit cards its making it worse for your credit score because you started at none and now there deducting points for every hit. Even people with good credit get a hit each time they apply but in the end if they pay it off they get way more points. We give a 10% discount to people who apply even if they get denied but honestly the 10% isnt worth the hit. So if I were you I'd try and get one from my bank thats how I started my credit, but I'd def stop applying for other CC's. |
Try finding a bank or credit union and take out a small loan....maybe only $500. Put the money in a savings account and make the monthly payments....it will cost you a little money on the interest, but it a great way to start building credit. Or if your bank/credit union allows....have it pulled out of your paycheck and then you are guaranteed ontime payments and never have to worry about lost/late payments. |
