Friends of mine are trying to locate their daughter Alex Aversenti who lives in New Orleans she did not evacuate! They have not heard from her since Sunday Night! They have posted on numerous web sites looking for her. If anyone living closer to the area has any other phone numbers or places to try and locate family members can they please let me know. I told them what a great group of people were on YT and I would post here.

Most important this site lists several websites where people can list survivors OR look for lost relatives. Please pass this information to anyone you know may need it.......

That's terrible !! Hopefully she's with friends or in a shelter - they are suffering so badly there but with no phones - she probably can't call. Wishing your friends luck and hope their daughter is fine and just waiting to be able to contact them

Unfortunately she was alone. Alex is 26 years old and her last known where abouts was near Bourbon St. She decided to ride it out after evacuating last year from Ivan. Her parents are very worried and thank you all for your help and prayers.

Hopefully they will hear from her in the next day or two, since they are "finally" bringing aid into the city and also taking people out of the city. Keep us up to date. :(

Alex just called her Mom and Dad. She and her dog were taken out of New Orleans today. She is safe and sound in a hotel in Lake Charles. Her Mom and Dad are leaving today and go get them. She was on the roof top of a friends house 4 blocks from the convention center. Thank you all for you help and prayers.
