Looking for a poem or short story about... I have been looking for a poem or short story about a newborn puppy that is dying and all the owner can do is pick it up and cuddle it as it dies. I think I read it on a Rainbow Bridge site and I remember that the puppy was talking to the women telling her how much it appreciated the way she handled it and how great it was to have been loved even for a short time. Has anyone ever seen it and/or have it? |
I don't know about the poem you mentioned but someone sent me message asking if I could write something for the puppy, I quickly wrote the following for you. Bless you for remembering someone that is going through such a difficult time. Hugs, Patti and Jack “Thank You For Helping Me” Your love for me is what God taught, Placing me in your loving care is what HE sought. I feel your love and caring way, Being cuddled and loved in your arms today. Thank you for all you have done for me, God holds the time to call me back to HIM, you’ll see. Please don’t cry when I must leave, Jesus will carry me to Heaven you must not grieve. You gave your all to help me be, In my short life here, till I am set free. You held me close and gave me peace, Your God’s angel helping me through, till this life will cease. Bless you now as you let me go, Forever I'm to be with Jesus and God, this I want you to know. What a beautiful poem! |
God Bless you! That is beautiful Thank you! |
This poem is simply beautiful. We recently lost our little one (it will be a week tomorrow) and this touched my heart! As I am still grieving I do know that our baby is in a better place where he is not suffering anymore. That thought alone gives me comfort. Thank you for writting that beautiful poem!
