laptop question
 
I have a new laptop and I'm hoping someone can help me with something that's driving me crazy. Anytime I view a You Tube video my up/down arrows and pg, up/down buttons stop working until I go to a different screen. The finger scroll stops working also. Also when I reply to a thread they stop working. Like right now as soon as I started typing they stopped working but they will work again after I post. Does anyone know how to fix this? My husband's laptop doesn't do this.:confused:

Okay, just checked and my finger scroll is working on this screen but it doesn't after I watch a You Tube.

I have no clue...but didn't want ya to have to keep talking to yourself.

I will say the only site I ever have computer issues...is this one. I can't tell you the number of times...my computer stops working, but it's only here

ETA - laughed cause that 2nd sentence has nothing to do with your problem, but you're welcome. LOL

It's a really helpful site...unnlike asking people on a dog forum your computer questions.

Sorry I don't have an answer for you but maybe you could call the tech support number of course you will have to wait on hold for an hour and be transferred 3 times!!lol

I assume if your laptop is new, it has Vista:confused: Did you know they have a Vista Forum to answer the hundreds of questions people have. I suppose you would google ' vista forum' I'll see if I can find it.

I bet Nancy would know though.:)

You should see what she talks about in PMs; a completely different "talk.com" that'd probably get censored if I used those words on here! :eek: :p

Nikki, what brand laptop is it? I got a Dell a couple of weeks ago and I noticed that when I go to youtube the arrow keys work the video player instead of scrolling the webpage. My Toshiba never did that. If I want the control to be back on the webpage I have to click the mouse on any blank area of the page and then I can scroll up and down.

I have a Sony Vaio and It has Vista , it does not do that ... Check out the Vista website or Call for tech support. It could be a flaw or something. :eek:

Just an fyi....Microsoft is dumping vista and returning to windows programing. I know a kid who is in on testing out the new product.

Thanks y'all! I always assume any computer issue is my own ignorance and everyone else will know the answer.:p Never even thought to search a computer forum.:rolleyes: If it redeems me at all, I didn't post the question on any other non-computer forums.:D

Ha ha- my daughter just showed me. I just have to click the left mouse button and everything works again.:D She wasn't home earlier when it was bugging me.

I just realized that you had already told me what my daughter did. Sorry.:o My computer is an acer so I guess it's not just dell that has that issue.
