So Unbelievably P*ssed Off! Crashed My Car & Stupid Ignorant Neighbours! Today I had to go to take Amelia to the Dr's for her 12month injections. It was snowing when I left but not really that bad but when I left it was coming down pretty fast and the roads in my village were quite bad. As I was coming down the hill to my street a kid ran across the road in front of me... how I didn't hit him I have NO idea... my car skidded and there was a car coming up the hill and a parked car in front of me, I knew I was going to hit either one of the cars or the wall at the side of the road. Seemed I had no control over which I was hitting and I hit the parked car pushing that down the hill into the car parked behind it! The kid and his friend saw me crash and ran off... the man driving the car coming up the hill was level with me when I crashed and he didn't even stop! Don't kids have common sense anymore??? Who runs across a slippery snow covered hill infront of a car???? Really??? It took me a long while to stop shaking. I phone my mum and cried to her when I got home. Then a so-called friend of mine gave me a load of crap about women drivers... seriously! Great way to make me feel worse! But no, the days not over yet... Amelia's got a fever from her shots today and doesn't want to settle well in bed, so I'm upstairs settling her, she's crying and my neighbour starts BANGING on her bedroom wall!!!!! WTH!!! She wasn't even crying that loud! It's not like she was screaming!!!! I never say anything when their dogs bark EVERYTIME I open my backdoor, for the entire time me or the girls are in the garden and until I shut the door again! Not one word!!!! They also have a daughter a couple of months older than Amelia... I've heard them letting her cry later than this - it was like 10.15! So now Amelia is downstairs and because she's downstairs she's stimulated and wide awake and all the toys I not long cleared away are all over the room again and she's just having a ball.... but I have things I need to do on the computer and I can't while I have one eye on her! Seriously, I just want to curl up and cry! |
I'm sorry your day has been so awful :( (((hugs))) But I am glad you and Amelia were not hurt . I swear , kids make me nervous as I drive past them playing on a dry road , never mind a snow covered slippery one ! I hope Amelia is feeling better soon. Don't worry about your neighbor...bang the wall back  If she cannot understand a sick baby cry than she isn't much of a mom. I hope the rest of your night gets better and tomorrow brings only good things :) |
OMG, seriously - your day could hardly be worse!! I am so glad your both okay though, how scary!! And what was that kid thinking??? ANd the man who didn't bother to stop? Wow. I am so sorry you had a day like that, what a mess. :( |
I'm so sorry you've had such a bad day! Thank goodness you or darling Amelia were not injured...and that you didn't hit that stupid kid. If you had, you'd be feeling even worse, even though it wouldn't have been your fault. Sorry about your cranky neighbor. I think you should pour yourself a glass of wine and have yourself a nice and relaxing bubble bath! Hugs to you! |
Oh gosh, Vicky! What a horrible day! :( I'm very sorry! As for the neighbor...ignore them. What a JERK. and that's just stupidity....who thinks, 'Oh, the baby is crying. Let's bang on the wall to see if it shuts them up!' ? MORON! |
So sorry your day was so bad. As everyone said, thank goodness you and Amelia and the kid that ran in front of you are ok. Hang in there! Take Connie's advice!! |
I am so sorry you're having a bad day. A kid running in front of the car, what was he thinking!!!! Same thing happened to me once, I got out of work early and was in front of my building when a kid ran right in front of my car to get across the street. I don't remember doing anything, but apparently I turned into the upcoming little street without thinking. I pulled over to make sure the kid was ok. My mom came running from inside the building and I thought for sure, I'm going to get an earful from my mom. When the mother of the 4 yr old kid showed up (yes 4-ish) my mom let her have it!!! It turns out he had been running between the laundromat that's infront of my apt building, where the little boy's mom was washing clothes, and my building where he has a little friend. He had dogged another car before I came along that's why my mom let her have it! Sorry it's kinda long, but I just wanted to let you know that I've been there and I'm sorry it's scary and I hope Amelia and you are ok. I hope she feels better soon and you have a chance to collect your thoughts. Sending many many HUGS!!!:ghug::ghug: |
Vicky, I am so sorry you have had a rotten day. Those days DO make you want to crawl up in a ball and cry you eyes out. I sincerely hope that our sweet baby Amelia Grace gets to feeling better and that you have a better day tomorrow. |
So sorry about your day:(, :big_hug:to you |
Sorry about your day, Vicky. I'm glad no one was hurt. And as for you neighbor... What a jerk!! |
Aw girl, I'm so sorry you had such a horrible day!!! I'm so glad no one was hurt though! I wouldn't tolerate your neighbor banging on the wall!!!! That is awful! We can hear our neighbor's kid (not baby) screaming and crying all the time and we NEVER bang on the wall. Goodness! Hope things get better for you asap! |
So sorry today was such a rotten day....glad noone was hurt in the accident. Try to relax for the rest of your evening and hopefully your tomorrow will be a much better day!! God Bless;) |
I am sorry you have had such a rough day. Try and relax. |
I am so sorry you had such a cruddy day. I hope a good night's sleep will bring you to a much better day. How bad is your car? You and Amelia must have been ok - I sure hope so |
Awww I'm sorry....hugs to you both, I'm glad you weren't hurt. |
Oh, man, that must have been right after we chatted. I'm so sorry. Your day went from bad to worse. I'll be hoping this brighten up. In the meantime, take care of yourself. |
Sorry you had such a rotten day. Here's hoping today is much better. Is your furbaby feeling today? |
Shame you are having a bad day.Men are far worse drivers than women...so there!!! Happy that you never got hurt and hope you feel better |
That's a bummer about your car. How bad is the damage? Are you ok - any injuries at all? Here is an idea... send AG over the pond to ME and I will spoil her while you have some well deserved time off. :D:D Sound good? Or... idea #2... just you and I can get together and party or chill out or whatever, for a couple of weeks. :D We can forget about all our problems, leave our computers at HOME  and be refreshed - have some wonderful food and beverages, laugh a lot. (you could try okra for the first time ) Ahhhh, I'm feeling a little better already. :) ;) I hope you are having a better day today. Hugs to you.... |
I am so glad you guys are ok! wow... what a crappy day though. I swear people are sooo busy in their own lives it seems noone can ever stop and help others anymore, its sad! That guy should have stopped to make sure you were ok. And the kids... wow. Not very smart of them, they were lucky they were not hit by your car, its so dangerous of them to just run out like that! uuggghhh I hope today is a better day for you! |
I'm so sorry all this has happened to you. I certainly would'nt let your neighbours get away with that kind of behaviour! I had some neighbours like that, they came banging on the door one night because they could hear my older children laughing and playing upstairs. (it was 10pm on a summers evening, I know its late but it was a family party and it had never happened before!) The next day I rang the council and told them what had happened and asked them if he was in the right and they said absolutely NOT!!! They said its not a valid complaint because they are young children and its to be expected! Yeah maybe if I neglected my kids and left them to scream but not for everyday stuff! Ring the council, I think its environmental control that deal with nuisance neighbours and let them know what happened, ask them to put it on file that these people are banging on their wall late at night because your baby is crying due to illness-and they disturbed her and made her worse!!! |
On the bright side thank the good Lord you and your daughter were not injured. I guess when stuff like this happenes it's the only way to make yourself feel better. I hope your car is not too badly damaged. Kid's just don't think at times. I guess they thought they caused you to crash since they ran off. Your neighbor's sound like louse's. I would tell them, thanks for banging on the wall, my daughter was running a fever and was sick. It's nice to know you care! I hope the baby is better today and you are too. Hugs, |
"My Mama said there would be days like this!!!" I hate those days...but everyone has them. I hope it's all over for you. The car thing was over the top. Thank god noone was hurt. Pedestrians have the right of way,but sometimes they're just ignorant. I live in upstate New York. We get alot of snow. There are alot of days I question why I drive to work...but many morning while in blizzard conditions..trying to keep all 4 wheels on the road..there will be a @!#$#%^ jogger on the road with me. Seriously they needs to get a treadmill, and stay in !!! If I hit them ,it would be my fault...bottom line...NICE ,and the neighbor thing...Ignore them. Next time your daughter cries tape it,and play it loud everytime their dogs bark...wait I'm being imature...well at least the thought of doing it is fun...lol Hugs to you and better days ahead..:p |
I'm glad your okay and hope Amelia settled down for you. Atleast thru all that mess you and Amelia are safe! Huggs buddy!!! |
