Pet peeve of mine
 
I HATE when people type things and intentionally spell it wrong. It drives me nuts. Like I saw somebody type "somebdii". The other day someone typed "kut" for "cut". I'm sorry, but I have NO idea what those words are! They aren't written in my dictionary!

I am SO with you!

I have a friend whom I work with. She is a straight A student and one of the smartest people I know. But I absolutely WILL NOT text with her, because she texts like she is the most uneducated idiot in the world. It's like...since when do full sentences and properly spelled words kill people!?!

Tonight I was running out of room in a text that I was sending, and the only word I couldn't fit was "You" at the end, and I wasn't going to send a 2nd text just for the word "you" so I typed "U" and sent it as that. It actually caused me pain haha.

Now, when texting I usually use short hand. I really can't stand it when people tYpE LiKe ThIs... I don't get it.

oooh no. You don't understand. She goes beyond short hand. It gets to the point where really...she just sounds like an idiot haha. Like....it's borderline not even being English. :p

I can't stand it when people write or text me like that. One of my friends does this and it drives me crazy.I text her back and tell her to spell out what she is trying to say. I really do not understand the text talk. I prefer when people write everything out ha ha.

I can't stand it either. I spend way too much time trying to figure out what is being said! It particularly send me when they shorten my son's name. His name is Christian!! Not CHRIS!!!!

i definitely agree with you all! come on, it takes the same amount of time to type "LIKE" than it does to text "LYKE" or "COOL" and "KEWL"

I also hate when girls add Z's on the end of words. for example "lolz" ... YIKES! :confused:

Not just girls, boys do it to...

I hate all that "chat speak." Can't you just type out your words? :confused:

I agree with all peeves mentioned but this one in particular drives me crazy! Why on earth does anyone go to so much trouble to be annoying?:p

We still do. It's up at the top right- the check mark with the ABC. I'm loving Firefox- it spell checks as you go like email or Word.

I guess I don't notice that here at YT, but I'm scratching my head these days when I read things like; "examples"... he like's his car better "then" me, or I hope today is better "then" yesterday, or she has a lot more books "then" I do. What ever happen to the right word, THAN? It has dissapeared.
