Up-Scale Puppy Mill?
 

Ok, long story short my Doberman is in heat, and we have been "interviewing" potential studs in our area. Well, we drove up north in Indiana, towards Michigan to meet a male. OMG! First thing is i was in contact with the woman, asked her questions, asked for pics, etc. And she even has a website! Ok, we get up there and first thing i see when we go in is it is dirty and smells!!! We then go into the kitchen, where she has the male gated up. I first saw he was really skinny, you could see bones. Then she goes on to show us the back porch where she has his cage, another female dobie in a cage who is 7 mo. old, skinny, just like the male, and when the woman opened the cage, this dog did not want to come out!! She tried coaxing her with a treat and she still didnt want to come out. She said she had been like that since they got her at 6 weeks (shy). And that she was championship pedigree. Then there is another female, in a cage as well and just as skinny. Then after she tells us she goes through 200 pounds of dog food a month, I see 2 bags of food- OL' ROY!!!! In my oponion, one of the worst foods! Needless to say,we are not going with her dog. I wish there was somewhere i could go to post her website and say Do not buy from her!! Sorry but had to vent!!

And i also forgot to add that all she kept talking about was a $ thing!! Big red flag to me!!
