Question about shipping a dog bowl.. I am just wondering from those who are experienced in shipping a dog bowl, how do you do it? How do you wrap it so that it won't break during shipping? |
I would use tons & tons of bubble wrap. I just got done moving 3000 miles cross country and not one broken bowl, plate, or glass, not even antiques... lots of bubble wrap.. Lots lots... and then wrap it in newspaper around that. Oh and put a wad of newspaper inside the dog bowl and then wrap in bubble wrap. by the time I got done packing up my glassware, I could've tossed em like a football and none broke. LOL :p:D |
I would let The UPS Store do it. Or, get a box about 3 times as big as the bowl. Put packing peanuts in the bottom, a good layer, Wrap the bowl in bubble wrap, then put packing peanuts all around and on top. Mark the box with "Fragile" tape. |
If it is a regular ceramic dog bowl, I would wad paper stuff it inside and then wrap it in bubble wrap - the kind with the BIG bubbles and tape thoroughly. You want the wrapped bowl to fight snuggly inside the box you are going to ship it in so it won't jiggle around. Be sure to mark the box with FRAGILE in huge letters in Red at least once on each side. If it is valuable, postal insurance will protect you. If the bowl is very fragile then I would double wrap it in small bubble wrap and then wrap it in the big bubble wrap and continue as stated above. |
I think bubble wrap is the best, and then throw in some of those peanut things so it can't move around. |
Thank you :)! I now have an idea!:) |
