can anyone recommend a couple books? well first of all...HAPPY SNOW DAY TO ME :D okay, now, do any of you know any good romance novels for a teenage girl? ( no detailed sex scenes PLEASE...im 14 :p ) maybe a book thats cute and mushy, like 'the notebook'. or completely tragic that it makes me cry. surprise me, lol. and please dont recommend the Twilight saga. its played out and EVERYONE is reading it. thank you (: |
I'm up for suggestions too! :D (high five for snow days lol). and I like pretty much the same stuff as you. :) So I'll wait and see what other people say. |
One of my all time favorites is Flirting With Pete by Barbara Delinsky . It's been a while since I read it, I'm going to have to find a new copy, my old one drowned in the bathtub when I fell asleep reading. |
A Scarlet Cord by Deborah Raney Marcus Glenwood series Loves Long Journey books by Janette Oke All clean and inspirational romance novels. |
Have you heard of Jacqueline Wilson, I used to love her in my early teens. As I got into my late teens/early 20s I started reading books by Sophie Kinsella and Chris Manby. They are both very good writters, funny and witty and their series you can pick up and put down and don't need to be read in order. That's my suggestion anyway. :D |
I just finished "Blue Dahlia" by Nora Roberts....its very good...BUT it doesnt end with the first book...theres 3 books in the Garden trilogy. Book 1 -Blue Dahlia Book 2 -Black Rose Book 3 - Red Lily Blue Dahlia was sooo good..i cant wait to find the second book and get started on it. |
Books by Wanda E. Brunstetter are good. They're in series, though. I think 3 or 4 for each little series. There are the "Brides of Lancaster County," Daughters of Lancaster County," and I think brides of some other county lol. They're based on Amish people and are pretty good. I've read almost all of them. :) |
Good post! I don't have any suggestions for your age range, but I am going to use your idea and post a thread for book recommendations!!! |
My daughter is 14 and reads like there is no tomorrow so I'll ask her for some suggestions. She did love the Twilight series though.:p |
I spent the day reading today as well..I just discovered an author Greg Iles (he's been writing for a while) and I love his stuff....suspense...thriller...google his name and you will get his titles... Nothing better than cuddling with a Yorkie and a good book!! Enjoy! |

I recommend you read all of Sarah Dessen's books. They're sooo good. The best are Dreamland and Someone Like You. I usually start and finish one in the same day. |
