ACAI, anyone? Is anyone familiar with this product? theAcaiBerryReport.com :: Acai Berry, Free Acai Berries, Weight Loss, Lose Weight |
I haven't used it....but I know it was on sooo many shows awhile back...Oprah, Good Morning America, Racheal Ray, etc. Looking forward to hear what others have to say about it. |
I ordered the free trial, only paid s/h, just waiting for it.I've been checking for a while, but I can't find any negative comments online, I was hoping to get some feedback here before I start |
I haven't eaten the actual berry , but I have bought the Acai juice ( the 100% ) and mixed it in with our morning smoothies , I use lots of berries so it didn't really effect the flavor much. I have heard only good things about it. My kids drink it ( in their smoothies)and they seem to like it. I think they have many different variations of how the berry is used , some for weight loss , some more for antioxident powers . I have seen it on many shows over the past year or so and I think it looks great so far. |
Ive heard of it and me and My Husband may try it |

It's a scam. I ordered the free sample, and have been being billed 69 dollars a month every since. They just keep sending me the pills. When you go to the website to try to cancel the order it doesn't work, and the phone number on the site is bogus too. Please be wary. |
:eek::eek: Thank you, I'll call my amex right now, to cancel any charges coming for that amount or from those people |
It's funny that you posted this thread today! :rolleyes:10 days ago, I ordered a free trial from Nature's Best Acai and then just a little while ago, I came across a site that warned of the extra charges. I went back to the website I ordered from and sure enough, there in the fine print, it said that after 14 days, I would automatically be charged $85.91 a month. I called the number that is listed in the terms of service and spoke to lady that actually seemed sort of friendly. Since I'm still within my 14 day trial period, she canceled my "membership". Now for the part that really upsets me!....Along with the "risk free" trial of the acai berry apparently comes 2 other offers! By ordering the free trial, I had also been signed up for a 21 day free trial of a website called Fit Factory and a website called Cost Smashers. If I was interested, she would give me the address to the website! So on top of the $85.91 a month I would be charged for the acai, I would also be charged for the two websites that I didn't even know about! I'm mad at myself... I know better than to not read the fine print! Luckily, it was easy to get everything canceled and she said I would not be charged any additional fees from any of the three offers. ETA: I haven't even taken any of the pills yet! I'm hearing good reviews from people that drink the juice but I'm curious if the pills are providing the same effect? |
I looked into the product and was thinking of getting it. I actually was filling out the info, and kept getting the "hurry only 3 min. left" bit. I kept reading all the way through the website and it turned out that I'd be signing up for other things too. I don't want to get suckered into add on things. I then did a further search on it and found out that most people are having a hard time getting through to cancel their orders. I heard you can get it at GNC and if I decide to try it, I'll go that route. At least these people won't have my card #. Oh, and if you have a paypal account, use the plug in and use the secured card feature...and use it for a one time charge...I use it all the time for online ordering, that way, after the one time charge, they can't use the # for further charges. |

It doesn't make them hyper , but it really doesn't seem to do anything that special either. I buy only the juice though (at GNC) I have never used the pill form. I bought it because of the antioxidants in it . It's supposedly a "superfood" but who knows. The juice is just natural acai juice and I just add some to the smoothies when making certain flavors . Usually the kid's get their smoothies first then I add the acai or whatever I am adding for for me and dh , but sometimes they get it to...It really doesn't seem to make a difference  I asked their doctor and he said it was OK to give some juice in the smoothies but not the pills ( I wouldn't have given them any pills anyway:rolleyes: ) I think different forms can have different reactions or be used for different reasons. IDK |
Ok, I called their 800#, the lady said that once i get it, I have 14 days to return the unused pills for a refund, and cancellationI called my credit card comp, but no charge has been made yet, and they wont start a claim unless a charge has been done, so I need to keep my eyes open ( for once!) for any unusual charges, and then call them for a claim. I'm so upset, I'm the one always telling dh and kids to read the fine print, I'll keep you all posted, in the mean time, if there is anyone that has used this , please let us know your experience. |
I got sucked into the free trial also... never ever saw the 14 days thing... They took $89 bucks out of my checking account.... I tried for 2 days to call the 800# to cancel only to be disconnected every time I called. My bank finally located a 3rd 800# that I was able to reach someone through. Three days after they took the $89 bucks they tapped my account for another $109. Not sure what monthly means to them.. I had to cancel my card and dispute both charges. Then I got another unauthoried charge for $29.95, not sure if it was related but... what a nighmare. That said, I like the product. Gives me energy and makes me more alert. I have since discovered that you can buy it at the GNC store. :) |
