Tom Cruise Dressed Up as Dorothy! 2 Attachment(s) Well, as a kid! I don't ever recall dressing up as a girl when I was little, does anyone often see little boys or know of boys that do (not that there is anything wrong with it, I just haven't heard of that much before)? Maybe for Halloween? --- Surprise! Little Tom Cruise used to like to dress up as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and other girls. I'd like to say that's pretty normal and that all my straight male friends did that as a kid...but, I'd be lying of course. The irony of Mr. FOD dressing up as Dorothy. http://big24fan.blogspot.com/2005/08...f-dorothy.html |
so he finally jumped out fo the closet  |
I would never guess that was a boy! I had my suspisions he was gay, but I didn't see him as the cross-dressing type. He does make a good-looking girl, though! |
Nice!!!!! :d |
SHUT UP!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE IT! |
Sorry, ladies, if I broke up your dreams, but he really did (IMO!) brainwash poor Katie Holmes... Only fair, to point out a site embarassing him just a tad little bit! ;) And oh yes, I'll shut up now. Mission impossible, accomplished! :D |

Well...I can only speak of my family. I have seven brothers and I will tell you right now...we ALL clowned around in "play costumes". I think my mom actually has one of my brother wearing my sisters ballarina outfit...lol. We taunt him with that picture and show it to his wife and two kids for a laugh! Francie |
thats funny! |

Who jumped out of the closet? Francie |
My Father, who is now deceased, said the neighbor girls dressed him in girls clothes when he was a little kid. He was as straight as they come. When children are young they just love to dress-up and play act (pretend). They also sometimes play with Barbies, etc.; however, they usually out grow the urge by the time they are as old as Tom Cruise is in that picture. He must have really craved attention! |
Heyyyyyyyyyyy I lile Tom Cruise.. I wouldn't kick him outta bed! though he is a lil on the weird side now.. LoL!!! maybe that costume does say a lil' something about him? |

I read somewhere that "jumped the couch" is slang for "gone crazy", just like the term "jumped the shark" has come to mean "taken too far" - like when The Fonz from Happy Days jumped the shark when water skiing. After that, the show went down hill.... Tom lost me when he was speaking out against PPD and depression. I don't care how good the movie. I won't watch it. And if he's on TV, I'll change the channel. how can a man, who isnt even capable of EVER bearing a child, have so much authority on this subject. i do not believe that pills solve everything but he was/is totally out of line attacking brooke shields the way he did.AND he spoke to matt lauder like he was trash  |
I only know that my own son used to dress up like a girl when he was playing as a child and that my daughter just had two of her guy friends over and the girls dressed in girls prom dresses. |

You know...quite frankly...I don't understand all the "brooha" is about Tom Cruises's sexuality. Its his own business...maybe he's bi-sexual for all we know...and has the capacity to fall in love with both men AND women! I just don't think we have the right to sit in judgment of anyone's relationship with another human being. And as far as hiding the "other" side of him...well..we don't have to be brilliant to realize the descrimination and hatred that many people in this country have towards homosexuals. If Tom Cruise wants to take steps to insure he provides himself with a living... in an occupation he loves...then maybe he feels the needs to "protect" himself by not being self-revealing. (shrug) And as far as his female partners go...they are ALL big girls ...with lots of agents....etc...for back up...in what is basically a very small bubble there in Hollywood. And I say that...because I have a nephew in law who works as a small bit actor in Holllywood. And believe me...if HE knows the inside scoop on these celebrities from working closely within the community...I guarantee you Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes do too! Now..the commentary on PPD and medication was out of line in my opinion. And I know this is America...with the freedom to speak out...but anyone that high profile needs to be aware of the responsibilities that come with fame. I mean...its not like Jo schmo me got up there and said it...I'd be dismissed...but because Americans deify celebrities here in this country, any opinions are given more credence. And I think Tom Cruise did not live up to that responsibility. I only pray that those women who desperately need help are not dissuaded from seeking medical attention. My own sister had severe PPD.....she would even look at her husband and say "get that baby away from me"....this from a woman who was so desperate to have a child...that she endured god know what attempts for ten years! I KNOW my sister...she is the most loving stable person...but whatever chemical imbalance she was experiencing with the birth of her child, turned her into someone I did not know. We were all very afraid for her and the baby. She was not even allowed to be alone with the her own baby. And all I can say...is THANK GOD FOR MEDICATION! The doctors turned her around within 2 months, and her husband had his wife back...I had my sister back...and "James" had a mother for the first time in his young life! As of today? Two year old James is a healthy happy..."Mamas Boy"...and my sister dotes on him and is the BEST mom! So Tom? You can stick it where the sun doesn't shine! Amen... Francie |

i am def. not judging tom cruise or making it my business. i simply made a comment in a thread and then answered a question that was asked of me :( *goes back to lurk mode* |

Oh hon...don't be mad! I wasn't addressing what YOU said directly...it was a generally observation. Yours was just the last thread I read! No harm meant! :) Francie |

It's the thought that if a single person that needed help heard his rant and then didn't seek help because of what he said.... That's where he 'jumped the couch' for me. JMO |
I'm with y'all - it is very irresponsible for someone as high-profile as he is to speak the way he did about serious mental illnesses and their treatment. Considering the ones who really look up to him as a role model are likely the ones who need their meds the most we could have a real catastrophe on our hands! Tongue-in-cheek, yes, but I do take meds for mental health and was very offended by his comments! Dana |
