QUOTE from 1st post: In light of the recent lawsuit for defamation by a pet store against a pupy buyer it is important info I think and I hope you will too. In reference to the statement about the Pet Store Owner winning a lawsuit - it happened in another country. The article I just saw over the internet poster being sued was in SINGAPORE not the States. I just wanted to clarify that since it wasn't mentioned in the post above. I'd hate to see people afraid to share on the net when they hear about bad Pet Stores or Mills. Our country is much more caring about people who suffer at the hands of Pet Stores....we have a long way to go but the word is getting out there. I also don't agree on the comment about 'mob mentality' I keep seeing that said on this site and it kind of gets on my nerves. When people have strong opinions - we are free to post them. Posting opinions just to stir up feelings is the reason many threads get heated. I personally don't go to great lengths to prove someone wrong but when something is posted that I have strong feelings for - I do speak up and I'm NOT mean or have a mob mentality. The comment implying that people are just following a 'mob' is disrespectful to those of us who post because we care. We can usually tell when someone is posting just for drama ....it doesn't mean there is a certain mentality of the posters that get passionate. |
I wanted to add that if I responded to a post here by someone who is a moderator - I did it with respect - I think labeling people tends to send negative signals to those who speak their minds |
Very well stated Kim! I agree with you. I had a friend that was jumped on here (by only a few) and what happened was that some people assumed things which were totally wrong. She was just trying to remind everyone to be nice - and most were, yet there were a couple of people that thought they were right and then started to be mean to her and hurt her terribly. She has since left and is trying to get out of everything completely. She was interested in showing and was trying to do things correctly - to go by the yorkie standard. Once I explained things - of what I knew about the situation - appoligies were made. But the thing is that - why were appologies had to be made in the first place. People should have the right to their opinions - yes, but also remember manners and have proof before stating to the public for all to read. What happens when people assume...? I do love this forum and respect it and have also made many friends here. I just don't want the negativity of a few to ruin it for us all. We are a great group. :) T. |
