Farewell President Bush! As I type, I am listening to the Presidents Farewell......I know that many are thinking "Good Riddence" but regardless of the personal opinion of him that we each have, I think that he is our President, and should be respected for the years that he served our country. Farewell, Thanks, and Good Luck to you, President Bush. Is anyone going to be in Washington for the inauguration of our new President?? I think it would be exciting and how neat to be a part of it!!! (if so, I hope that you share your experience!!) |
Farewell President Bush! :) Thank you for serving our Country! I am so excited for the Inaugeration. I *wish* I wasn't in school that day. Not that I'd be going down to Washington...but I want to watch in on TV sooo badly. |
I agree! Farewell to him and no matter WHAT ANYONE thinks of him - he was STILL our President for 8 years...and I wish him well :) God Bless him and God Bless America! :flag42: P.S. - I watched his speech too :) |
I agree, he deserves respect for doing a job that I'm not sure many people would want, especially given the challenges of the last 8 years. It will be exciting to see the changes ahead. Having a little younger hip family in the White House sounds kinda cool, and I'm sorry they feel a Yorkie would be to fufu for them. |
I am so sad to see him go:( President Bush and President Reagan are my favorites!! I am very greatful that he has kept the U.S. from being attacked again. He has done a great job. I would elect him for 8 more years if that was possible!! But I bet he needs a well earned vacation, especially from the one-sided media. I will definately miss him! |
Good luck to President and Mrs. Bush. He's done some good things and some things that drive me crazy but I wish him a happy retirement with his lovely wife. |
I'm going to miss him! He is such a likeable person and whether you agree with his policies or not you still have to agree that he's a good person and has tried hard to do the right things. Now I hope everyone gives our new president the respect he deserves as our Commander in Chief. I would hate to hear the name-calling and negative statements starting up again. |
i look forward to change....but I don't think we should ignore the fact that he protected us from being attacked again. |
President Bush I wish him well too. Everyone has talked really bad about him but he had some major issues to deal with such as 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. I hope he enjoys his retirement & can't wait until Obama takes over. |
