Out of the mouth's of babes! I keep laughing everytime I think of what my 7yr old granddaughter said last night to me. She will be making her First Holy Communion in early May and is studing for make her first confession on 1/31. I asked her last night if she was ready to tell the priest the things she feels she has done wrong. Her statement to me was: "I am not telling him anything"! They are my secrets:p I can't stop laughing at this comment. |
LoL....I have to agree w/her! |
That's funny....pondering what a 7 year old has done that needs to be kept "secret"...actually she had plural secrets.. LOL One time I asked a friend if she confessed things she'd actually done when she was a kid...her reply ....no, I made stuff up. Then I wondered if lying during a confession...should be confessed too. LOL |

LOL I am sure lying is the secret. Yes, Mom I read my book for homework, no Mom I didn't pinch Isabella, I don't know why she's crying! LOL |
Isabella must not be old enough to rat her out. I had the baby brother...aka the tattle tail. |
how cute :):).. smart child |

Izzy is only 2yrs old but is a little instigator at times so Nicky has to do what a big sister has to do I guess. |

That's too funny. I remember my aunt making me go to confession every week, and I honestly couldn't think of anything to say, so I would tell him I lied once, because I was lying to him. LOL |
LOL, Kids are so cute! Your grandaughter's spunk is really great! I think it shows a lot of intellegence! I will never forget my best friend's daughter getting into trouble with the nun (her first grade teacher.) She was told to draw a picture of anything she wanted to drawl She drew a monster eating a nun!!!!! Of course her mother got called in for a conference but I couldn't help but think how healthy that little girl was. She was mad at the teacher and able to express it VERY well! She is in her late twenties now and graduated at the top of her college class. And, like your grandaughter, is a truly a smart cookie. |

LOL what a smartie she was. I bet it made her feel better to put her fellings down on paper knowing she could not do it verbally. Nicole actually did very well. I was nervous but she came threw like a champ. The Monsinoir was very intuned to the kids. He told a story about a little girl who was mean to her brother. He told her she should say she's sorry and not be mean to him. The little girl said she rather die first than apoligize to her brother. That got the kids laughing and relaxed. After that I think they all spilled their hearts out during confession knowing if that little girl survived they could too. I laughed for an hour after hearing that story. |
What a crack up:D |
How cute is that! This thread gave me a smile. That little granddaughter of yours sounds like a very clever and entertaining young lady! Hee hee! |
