Oh of course. I love touch screens, but the Storm touch screen just isn't for me. To me, if I am going to have to push the screen all the way in like you do with the Storm, I might as well just push a button. Also, the screen was always all grimy from being touched all over- go figure :p

Go and play with one at the Verizon store then you can see if you like it or not. The great thing also about Verizon is that you can exchange something within 30 days as long as it's in fantastic condition. You will know in a few days if you like it or not :D

Ok, you guys had me checking them out at the store LOL I played with the storm but I think I better just stay away from touch screens. I have the Krave right now and its a touch and to txt is hard. I always make mistakes.

The girl working just got the curve 2 wks ago and she said the same as you all and she loves it too.

Do you find the internet fast? Are the buttoms small to manuver? Will I be able to get my yahoo mail and yahoo messanger on it?

Yes! It is totally worth it! The internet isn't as fast as mine at home but it's pretty darn great. I always have it on YT and check in whenever I want. It's fantastic. And yes you can get your yahoo mail. I have a special yahoo mail icon and everything. I don't do yahoo messanger so I don't know about that.

Trust me, once you have your internet and e-mail right at your fingertips whenever you want it, you'll never go back :D

Yeah, I am not a touch screen person myself. I know some people are, but I'm just not one of them. I have a HUGE pet peeve about cell phone screens being all "smudgy" with fingerprints, so I know a touch screen would end up driving me crazy LOL.

The internet on my Blackberry is fast, yes mam! :thumbup: As I said, I bid and buy on eBay from my phone all the time :p

The buttons aren't hard for *ME* to move maneuver at all - but that is just me - maybe others will chime in with their opinions on it too, although I personally have never known anyone with a BB Curve to complain about the buttons.

YES you will most definitely be able to set up your Yahoo e-mail account on your Blackberry! In fact, that is exactly how mine is set up ;) I use ONLY Yahoo mail so it was extremely important to me that I would be able to set up my Yahoo mail account on my Blackberry - I did, and it was a breeze ;)

Yahoo Messenger should already be installed on your Blackberry when you receive it. Yahoo Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, Blackberry Messenger (LOVE this! :thumbup:), MSN Messenger and Google Talk all came pre-installed on my Blackberry.

As for the extra $29.99 pet month - YES I absolutely think it's worth it! I am with T-Mobile so I am only paying $19.99 a month extra for the Blackberry service, however, I *HAVE* to have my Blackberry - so I would pay their fee no matter what! :D

So far everyone just loves their Blackberries! I'm impressed!

I don't have a pink one, mine is just silver :D It's ok thought cause I think the past 2 or 3 cell phones I've had have been pink LOL. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE pink (it's my favorite color!) but I *always* have a cover on my phone anyway, so you don't even see what color it is. I don't even think they had the pink Blackberry's out when I got mine. BUT - pink is the best color ever lol...so if you want the pink, then I say go for it! You can't EVER go wrong with PINK ;)

I have the crimson red AT&T BB Curve and love it. I got the Pearl first and exchanged it after a few days. I was upgrading from a Razor and wanted a bigger screen and full keyboard. It is never more than a few feet away from me at ALL times. I even keep it on my nightstand as a backup alarm clock. It works in the Louisiana and Texas piney woods where others wouldn't.

My daughter just got the Verizon BB Storm and seems to love it. It is the first Verizon phone to work in our house (in the boonies, outside Houston), as we have a metal roof.

I sometimes cringe at the extra $, but it's worth it. I turned off call waiting on the home phone, turned in two TV cable boxes, and changed a few other things around the house to make me feel better about the cost.

I just got the Blackberry Storm and I am completely addicted to it. My plan runs around $100/month, my employer splits the cost with me. I get good reception.

That's the one that I will probably get next whenever I am due for an upgrade. Have you ever owned a Curve before? If so, is there much difference between them?

i don't really go into many "rural" areas.. my work is in the hills and i get good reception there! & many people don't!! ;)
i don't ever remember, NOT having reception.. the whole time i've had my phone! ;) but i guess it just depends! :)

My contract with Alltel is up on February 3rd and I'm debating upgrading to a Blackberry. I just don't know if it's going to be worth the extra money though. The lowest plan that Alltel has is $89.99- that's $50 more than the plan I have now!:eek:

I asked the sales girl that same question today :) She said there was not too much diff except for the touch screen and some ppl like that, but she said the Curve is faster...that the Storm has a slight delay??? of course I have nothing to compare that too, so I don't know. I know the storm has a higher camera mp.

My storm has no delay. There might have been a slight delay before the OS upgrade, but none since. You would not believe the video on the storm. Go to a verizon store and check it out. It is like watching a mini HDTV.

AT&T, T-mobile, Cellular One and Alltel are the only providers available in Manhattan. Alltel and Verizon are supposed to be merging but haven't yet. My problem is that both my parents and my fiance's parents live way out in the country and Alltel is about the only thing that gets service there so I hate to change to a provider that doesn't have service when we go home to visit.

Thats what I am going to do too once my husbands upgrade is ready, I think it's in March. I was just at the Verizon store yesterday to replace my son's lost phone when My husband told me I would get the upgrade, he likes his phone:rolleyes: Anyway's I was debating about the Dare but I am really liking the Blackberry Storm or Curve. FYI - i spoke to a customer today who came in my store that works for alltel and the merge is official as of sometime last week i think? but starting in february (not sure the exact date) verizon customers can start calling alltel customers using IN network calling so it would be free. on the otherhand, alltel customers wont be able to call verizon customers with the IN network calling until march. not sure how valid this is i'd have to talk to our verizon rep. also, customers who have alltel who dont renew their current calling plans will have to change to verizon plans soon!!

this is good news for me because my boyfriend has alltel, i'm in his circle anyway so that doesn't matter but now i can call him for free :p

I got my first Blackberry (The pink pearl) on my birthday back in december..and so far I love it..so great to have YT wherever I am!:thumbup::D

you can actually make your own ringtones and put them on your phone! theres a few websites where you can make your own for free and then you can save it to your computer then you can transfer it to your blackberry. it would be a good idea to get a memory card for your phone if you wanna store a lot of stuff (pictures, videos, ringtones). theres a bunch of apps you can get on your phone, a lot of good ones for free. i always use google & google maps on mine.

Hey girl! I have the pink BB and LOVE IT!! I had to get something when we went through hurricane Ike and lost power. Never lost my Verizon signal and the BB was wonderful to have contact on the net when i needed it! Now i don't know how i could do without it!! I love the pink pearl...matches my lap top too!! I love pink!!!

So far so good! I got my email synced and I got yahoo messenger on it BUT for the life of me..i can't figure out how to get on the internet, see an address bar and type in yorkie talk or anyother website????

What am I missing?

oh shoot..now its doing it right.....the "go to" was not popping up for me, now I can get to YT...cool!
