So tired of this weather We are supposed to be getting Ice and snow tonight and tomorrow. This is like the 4th time this winter we have gotten ice. We have barely had any snow but were supposed to get it this week. Sigh I am so ready for Spring |
I'm with you. I am so "SICK" of snow, ice and sleet and it's only Jan 9th!:( The ice storm that we are just getting over was horrid. I live up in the mountains and it's like Alaska there. I fell yesterday and Buddy was pulling me like a sled. I wanted to strangle him but of course I didn't. Hope no one saw me, I was embarrased but I probably looked hysterical. We're getting 4-7inches again tomorrow! Joy:mad: I already lost 4 vacations days because I can't get to work when it's so bad. Some vacation. Seems like the winter's are getting bad again. Be safe. |
Sorry you fell but your description of how Buddy dragged you is funny. I am getting ready to go to the grocery store so I dont have to go tomorrow. At least its happening this time on the weekend. In the past this winter its been right during rush hour traffic time |

I hear ya chachi! We had more 'ice' on tuesday and tomorrow we are getting some sort of precipitation, not sure what though, snow I think. We've had at least 3 ice storms and one was so major it crippled new england for WEEKS. I hate winter. Its only early Jan and Im already ready for spring. Actually Im never ready for summer to end. I can't wait for it to come again! and yes, they have all been during rush hour, either morning or evening! It sucks! |
I wish we were actually getting some snow! We've only had two snow storms this entire winter and have never had over 6-8" at anytime. Today, it's 50 degrees!:eek: I LOVE the winter and I'm really missing out this year. Send some of it my way! |
Well I'm in Florida so I don't have those problems. When I did live up north I hated the ice. I could deal with the snow, but not the ice. |

I feel your pain too...I just moved back to WA state from Texas and we got 3 feet of snow, that has FINALLY melted, but now it is flooding here. Major roads closed and I feel so sorry for all the people who have lost everything. We are up high, no danger for us, but bring on spring and summer!! I had forgotten what winter could truly be like. You can move down south with us. the last 2 days have been 70 and they feel like spring days. we don't know what happened to our cold weather....:) sorry your having to deal with the ice and snow. i really couldn't live there and deal with it.:) |

I am so SICK of winter also! This winter has been awful with so much snow and ice, bitter temps below 0 and storm after storm. Ugh. My car doesn't handle too well on the ice and one morning I went out of control...hit the brakes which I shouldn't have...then started spinning in circles. It scared the bejeebers out of me and I wasn't even going fast, but once out of control, it speeds up on it's own. Hubby said I shouldn't let the gas tank get so low so there's no weight in the back end. I was so glad there were no other cars around or I'd have wiped them out! Spring will surely be a welcome sight! |
I am definitely ready for spring, also. We have had a lot of ice this year too... and snow. I won't even try to drive anymore when it is icy - it's just not worth it. Connie - isn't that an awful feeling when you lose control of the car like that? So helpless and terrifying. I'm glad you weren't hurt. I am SO looking forward to smelling grass and working in my gardens and watching the fluffs run around outside without freezing their little paws. :D I want to open my windows and hear all the birds singing and I want to hang some laundry outside to dry. Ahhhhhh. I just can't wait for spring. :) |
We escaped the ice storm this time. It warmed up overnight so we just got rain but they got ice North of us |
I know all of u gals that live in the south can sure thank god for your warm weather. Its been awful in indiana this year. I think its going to be a looong winter. We need a winter get together. Molly wants outside so bad but then i let her out an she looks at me like what am i doing out here an back inside she comes. She is pad trained an this kind of weather i`m glad. Proably couldn`t get together any way if we could. |
We got some snow flurries last night! :yay_jump: Nothing stuck though. Yesterday afternoon, it made it up to almost 60 degrees and then a cold front came in and at 10pm, it was down to 25 with wind gusts up to 40 mph. |
