Sorry girl! lol...I know...trust me I know how it is! It's even worse when you actually see it...but darn it, it's a GOOD movie...I really do think ALL dog lovers should see it, like someone else said! Just TRY and prepare yourself for the ending to be sad...at least you have a warning LOL...well I did too but even though I knew it was coming I still cried my HEAD OFF :cry: I actually started crying BEFORE the "ending" actually "happened" because I KNEW what was coming...ugh....:cry: But it really is a good movie. If you do decide to go see it, just bring plenty of Kleenex with you....that is the best advice I can offer!

P.S. - Hug the HECK out of him....we need to hug these babies of ours a million times a day....they are just so precious to us...:cry:

I am usually good at holding it in for sad movies but if you put animals (or kids) in the movie, I can't help my self. :( I can't imagine. I usually bring Suri to the movie with us, but we also watched another and she stayed behind. I couldn't wait to get home!

Oh I know what you mean - I am the exact same way when it comes to animals and/or children :cry: Although, I am naturally a very sentimental person and I've even been known to cry at COMMERCIALS before - omg :rolleyes: How pathetic, I know..lol. Trust me, I get made fun of enough by my hubby :cool:

Oh my gosh, that is so neat that you can take Suri with you! Do they actually allow dogs or do you just sneak her in? I could pull it off with Tatum, because she is so quiet - but trying to sneak Stedman in would be such a scene....we would be thrown out immediately LOL :p

Gosh girl, I am so glad that I wasn't the only one who thought they were going to have to get up and walk out! :eek: Seriously though...I was really thinking about it for a minute, lol. Even someone that we went with said the exact same thing - she was like, "If you would have gotten up and walked out I would have followed right behind you 'cause I was thinking of doing the exact same thing" - LOL. I mean crying is one thing, but I was literally SOBBING and I was thinking to myself, "Omg Brooke SHUT UP the whole theatre is going to hear you!" :rolleyes: Good grief lol...

Oh my gosh you guys, I really want to see this movie, but I think I am going to rent it when its out. I am a big cry baby when it comes to sad movies.

I to am going to wait until I can rent it, that way I can cry freely. When I read the book I was crying so hard I couldnt see the words. So Im sure I would be a wreck in the theater.

I am going to wait, too, until it comes out and I can be home ALONE!! I had a yellow lab named Lacey from when I was five years old to sixteen when we had to put her down. There is NO WAY I could watch that movie in public, I would probably get kicked out of the theater. I cried during the commercials for the movie because it reminded me sooo much of Lacey, that's how bad I am!

I admire you for going to see that Brooke, I am surprised you did so well!! (What can I say :p I know you :D)

I'm not one to go sit in a theater, but I went New Year's Day to see this one and absolutely loved it!

I had just finished reading the book and wanted to see it while the book was "fresh" in my mind.

I laughed, cried, and felt everything in between. It was the best movie I've seen in a long time.

I was sobbing too! I was relieved that I was going straight home, because I was sure I had mascara running down my face!
I don't find Owen Wilson attractive to look at, but I love his voice! He did a great job, I agree!

I did the same thing when I came home! That movie does stop and make you think and appreciate and it also brought me back to losing my Snuffy ( my American Eskimo I had for 16 1/2 years )
I saw it with my parents and they were both crying and I even heard my Dad kind of make a sobbing noise, I know he was fighting not to cry.

Ok I must be totally behind on my reading or the news cause I thought this was a happy go lucky fun family movie. I didn't know anyone or anything dies..or that it's a sad movie. I found out today because a ton of people were calling this radio station that I listen to and they complained because the movie was marketed as this feeel good comedy. I guess their kids were all traumatized and they had to leave the theaters, etc. I will go see it even though I'm a cry baby but at least I'm prepared. I will have my kleenex with me and my popcorn :D

It makes you want to run home and hug your babies! Good movie...Not to mention how happy I am that Jennifer Aniston is beating Brad Pitt at the box office!

I had the worse headache by the time I left the movie from holding it in!...not to mention that the hubby and daughters BF kept turnig to look at me!!

I only go to one theater with her because a person close to me is a manager and no one ever complains. She sleeps most of the time or plays with a toy. She is very quite and they have a nice park across the street that we visit.

We saw it the other night and I gotta tell you, I was drained afterwards. I was sobbing and crying before the ending. It brought back going through it all with my cats. There was a woman who had to leave the theater. I almost followed her. I've always loved labs.

I grabbed my 2 as soon as we came home, hugged and kissed them like crazy!

My hubby read the book. We have a yellow lab. He was telling me how much our Lab reminds him of Marley. He wants to see it, I don't. I can't stand to see animals / dogs die in movies. The movie I Am Legend, was ruined for me because of it. :(

We took my 4 grand kids to see it the day after Christmas - ages 12, 9, 6 and 3 - It was NOT a pretty sight at the end :eek: But after we all got ourselves under control (except the 3 yr old - she wasn't sure why all the rest of us were crying :cry:) we all declared it a really great movie despite the ending. Sadly Grandma and the 6 yr old had the worst time getting it together :rolleyes: But like someone else mentioned - I can get emotional over commercials - especially Hallmark ones - or anything with animals dying, so I knew going in it was going to be teary at the end - just maybe not quite so bad!

It will definitely be one that I buy when it comes out on DVD - then I can watch it at home and not feel so conspicuous :D
